Know a few doing job end of dig and on lamp had one and a first x wheaten bull too both good dogs at their game

Proper working beddys  are hard to find these days ,so where are these wheaten earth dogs I’ve never seen one ? As for end of dig you could use a Rotty etc for that

old fella I got my little bitch beddy fell x from has a few beddys that used for ground work as I say they have fell blood in them tho. It’s Common knowledge Wheatens are not earth dogs as for using a rotty end of dig maybe very odd one would but I really doubt it most dogs not bred for the job soon give up the ghost

Mate any comment on here isn’t aimed at you just because you run a f1 fella it’s a general comment lol you’ve just said your self further up on the post a decent straight beddy is hard to find there for a f1 is even harder to find that’s doing what it’s supposed to all my comments are general comments. A decent genuine f1 beddy greyhound that’s decent at its job is hard to find I looked for over a year for one as a stud about 5-6yr ago now I was banging my head against a brick wall all I got was every ones got one at stud at x price out of about 30 dogs only one was the real deal an as genuine as any one could want in a stud with proof an I was willing to travel any were in the uk for a decent f1 stud. All my waffle on here don’t mean there not out there it’s just a mission finding the right stuff or the right one

Only 20 you only have to look on pets for homes etc for that anything with lurcher legs is fetching mega bucks at the moment I bet there more lurcher litters out there now than ever before

Well technically it was just over a year it was a joke to be honest looking for a decent f1 stud you wouldn’t believe some of the turds I was offered all wanting silly stud fees I’m not even going to go down that road tbh only when I spat the dummy out on a working dog group one of the admin on there knew the type I was after the bloke gets on here from time to time pointed me in the right direction

The thing is though look at all these decent Lurchers out there there of mixed breeding none are f1 finished article but doing the job regularly none are f1s if a f1 was the finished article everyone would have one but saying that the base blood needs to be there to start with the fact that the base blood is found wanting now ie beddy, collie, bull it’s far easier to go lurcher to Lurcher because you know it can do what you want than keep visiting the beginning it’s like every f1 of any cross you ask any one that’s had or got one there say could do with a inch or two or be finer built or a bit more speed your still get shit what ever way you breed ??

I’m not trying to pick a argument or out I’m just saying in general but your argument/comment if it as any meaning behind it is on its ass there because it’d make you a hypocrite because last year you were on about breeding out your f1 bitch to a whippet as your slowing down if you did breed it’d be a skatter breeding same as lurcher to Lurcher bred

Read my post again it says what mine is doin now ,and you also know my way would always be lurcher to hound and hound to lurcher , that’s just just I’ve done lurcher x lurcher many years ago it can throw all sorts, that’s just me everyone is different

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect

Hi to all, so I've never owned a whippet before and have encountered an irritating habit that got worse in the last month of ferreting and was wondering if anyone out there has had success minimising noise during ferreting?
So he runs prey silently, almost never barks at home so I was very happy going into his first winter, but.... when the ferret slot machine is not paying out fast enough for his liking he yips at the holes he senses are near the underground action. On top of that, if he runs a bolted rabbit to ground again he persistently barks at the hole while constantly looking at me as if to say "get them ferrets over here mate, I've got one for you"
I've a very experienced collie lurcher who is a dream to ferret with but the whippet seems to make no reference to the good stuff he does. Any ideas on managing this?

      Evening all,
I'm lucky enough to have first pick from a friends litter. He’s crossed his Saluki dog with his Collie Bull GH bitch. I’ve only seen videos of the litter as he’s based in UK. Few different characters in the litter, some sit reluctant off in the back ground others play among themselves two are incredibly forward one more than the other.

What key things do you look for when picking a litter? I’ve mostly ran mine on rabbits, reds and some others.

      Go stead,
      oshea
