I work with alot of lathes and cranes they take no prisoners, the power of them is unreal.  One 2 of the cranes i work on has 2 motors for the hoist both running at 1000hp each    Watch

I find stuff like that ghoulish, can’t deal with it .

This is about my limit with health and safety videos ???

Sometimes you just can't keep a good man down.

You wouldn't though as you would pull through for your family.

Same with tractor pto’s ones with no guard scare the shit out of me

Very true we used to use pto driven winches and you would often be leaning over the dam things with the guards flapping about because they all ways broke. Wearing wet weather gear and clothes flapping about. One guy copped it one day and lost an arm. Thank fully I was off that day. Healthy and safety finished the guy in charge of that particular gang

Health and safety is there for a reason. It can be a right pain but when bad things happen you see why its there. Back in the day we we used to use pto driven saw bench with whooping round blade for making fence posts. You used pop a point on a 5'6 post and then reach forward and grab the four cut offs from the side of the blade and throw behind you. Your fingers were like cm's from it. Also we have to spilt posts and rails. Line them up and push them forward with your gut. Some times you had to push like hell cause they were tough and some pinched the blade so you would be leaning forward forward push as hard as you could towards the blade. Think the worst thing that happened was some one lost few mil off his finger lol. But yea I sure won't be googling no lathe accident
