You’d be saying f**k all of the kind of it was you who they were taking over

It is easy to be a charitable socialist with some one else's money.

Imagine all them little bairns all over the north east in twenty years time ?  “Dad , dad , have Newcastle ever played Sunderland ? “

I can't see Kane and Alli going up north. They will want to move somewhere to have a good chance of winning trophies from the off not start all over again re-building a team from scratch. Same for Poch for that matter. I can't see him taking the Toons job.

From what I have read poch is keen you may well be right about Ali and kane just a bit of mischievous on my part that

I hope that they get a good manager. But honestly, why would Poch want to start re-building again? He's shown that he can do that despite having the tightest Chairman in the League. Now he could just slide into a successful club like Real or Athletico, Juventus, or even Citeh if Pep gets binned. Then Alli and Kane have new futures.

He could or he could build something he could call his own like at spurs but now has the money to see it through unlike spurs  and his promotion of youth is also something they are looking at I would suspect the wages would be  massive

His wages would be massive no matter where he goes. Breaking into the top 6 isn't going to be an easy task. The best they can hope for is to settle below that and fight it out with Wolves, Everton, Leicester for a place in Europe. No offence but Poch' deserves better and I think that he will get better offers.

Why isn't breaking in to the top six easy if you have the money and as poch as the manager they can attract the better players and if poch is promised a certain transfer budget that would be far higher than his spurs budget and he got them up there and why not and  why does he deserve better than a football daft area with such supporters as the toon the club is as big if not  bigger than spurs  surely he could build a legacy there

Look at City. They have spent billions and gone through how many top managers and they still, after ten years of massive investment  haven't achieved the CL success they set out to do. Liverpool broke the mould but now it has been done it will be much harder for other clubs to follow.

City and Liverpool have the top 2 places sewn up for the time being. Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are rebuilding and have good platforms already in place and Spurs now are an unknown quantity, but still have some good players. Then you have Leicester who again have invested and have a good manager and squad plus Wolves who again are benefiting from overseas investment. Newcastle have to come up with a good manager and at least five or six top class players to be able to compete in the next two or three years. They have little hope of European success and little hope of a top four place in that time so the only players they are likely to attract are young up and coming breakthrough players or mercenaries.

It can be done, but just chucking money at the club isn't guaranteed to succeed.

Re sports stars / actors . Realistically you have no idea how many have done anything or donated anything unless you know them . Your going on internet news articles . Your 99% is jist a random percentage your throwing out .

Few years ago a local young boy had some form of cancer in his leg and had it removed before christmss . Over the christmas period while he was in hospital Cardiff city football players came with presents , kits and a full camera crew taking pictures of the kids/players . Ive got no problem with the cameras and the pictures were used to show the club in a good light going to see young kids.  Kids enjoyed it , club got good pr online .

Few days after gareth bale turned up with bags of signed kits , ps4's , xbox, switch etc and spent time with the kids flr private pictures and talking football . No PR , nobody but the staff and kids families were aware of it

My point being is as a welshman you could sit at home reading the Cardiff city article and bemoan the likes of bale not remembering his roots etc . Doesnt mean people dont do things

There are extremely generous people in the sports world and many other areas of life who simply refuse to allow the reporting of charitable donations......who do things out of sincerity not for a pat on the back.

As a neutral i think Pochetino at a well funded Newcastle looks a lovely fit he,s proved he can build good sides with 1 hand tied behind his back with an open cheque book a young manager like him at a big growing club,1 club city.....once they can get their heads around such a belittling take over of their club it,ll be exciting times for Toon fans im sure.

I agree, for a coach it’s a decent challenge, for players at the top of their game it’s a step backwards.

What are you basing your opinions on that it would be a backward step for top players? Id have thought top players want to ply their trade in one of the top leagues, compete for trophy's (which i think will be the game plan for the head choppers that are gonna plough a fuk load of cash into their new project),and get paid top dollar? Iam no mental on the way fitba is going with all the sugar daddies but i think if you look at the average fitba players mentality the toon is gonna tick a lot of boxes.

Not at the start of a rebuild though mate......Kane and those type of players are going to want to go to a club that’s already competing ?

Which of the top 20 players in the world would go to fit in at the current Newcastle side  ?

Cause if you lifted any single player out of Liverpool or city they wouldn’t be as effective.

As a seeker of truths and in order to establish some veracity of facts ,  yesterday I carried out a what’s app football questionnaire.
In order to maintain impartiality , I’ve awaited until the final results are in.... and it makes for interesting reading .
The conditions were set for a level playing field .reams of questions were filtered through however I decided on three questions alone to maintain ease of answer via the polling method of what’s app.
      1. Who in your opinion are the top 6 English football clubs regardless of league or current table position?
      2. Who would you say are the biggest English league side outwith big 6 ?
      3. Who is the bigger club Newcastle or Sunderland?
Answer in your opinion , no right or wrong .
Each question was asked individually, as in only when they Had responded to the first was the second sent and so on
the demographic was chosen with the following constraints
      1. No fans of either Sunderland or Newcastle were chosen to be questioned.
      2. I selected 20 people in order to make it a fair pool of people and to make % mathematics easier.
      3. All 20 lads are guys i have played football with or discussed football with at length.
      4. No members of the hunting life .
      5. 10 born and raised south of Birmingham . Including 2 welsh lads. 10 born north of Birmingham . Including 2 Scottish lads.
      6. All agreed to have the conversations and their findings included in the survey .
So with no further delay , is anyone interested in reading the results ?
Any ideas on how I could have set conditions to a fairer test?

Went to look at a house last week in which me and the missus fell in love with, we offered the asking price straight away and exchanged phone numbers with the couple.

They made it clear that they had a couple more viewings of the house and wanted to honour them. Come Tuesday morning I rang the estate agents at the crack of birdshit to get an update, they told me they were waiting on hearing off the other people first.

Come 11 I got a call and they told me someone had put in a bigger offer and they had accepted it. After falling in love with the house I wasn't happy about that so I put in a counter offer that was higher.

The estate agent got back to me saying that the couple was still sticking with that other offer and turned down our bigger offer. I asked what the fcuk for and the slag at the estate agents said had no answer and says they might have got a better vibe, wtf!

What pisses me off about the situation is the way they were when we viewed the house, I went with my newborn and missus and she loved it. The way they were, talking about this house being perfect for my new daughter to grow up in has really pissed me off.

I honestly feel like putting the fcuking Windows through and killing their cat hahahaha. I expect a phone call off the estate agent because the message I sent to the speccy eyed prick house owner is not pleasant to say the least. I hope the deal falls through and they end up living in a cardboard box the fcuking rats!!! ???
