I’m not self sufficient for electric either mate but it makes a solar system seem like better value than a new car now dont it.......not that I have a new car ! Lol

Said earlier in this thread, most of us on here should have enough knowledge and a little expertise/willingness to ride out things like this...

It's not the end of the world, its almost a reset in our way of thinking though...

It's not the reset yet. When that comes very few will survive it.

A mate was complaining to me he could not get chicken thighs in the super market. I said to him did you try the butchers he answered " feck me never thought about it and I walk right past one" Lol.

Cheers Arry

Its mental mate, we are very lucky to live in a part of the world which has all the means to support us without even using a supermarket......farms, independent shops, butchers, fish mongers etc etc..plus fields, woods and the sea all around us....its sad that people can only survive on drive throughs and supermarkets

I think the way we think will be reset, if people choose not to take note that's up to them..

Nothing drastic, small changes could be good changes imo.

Exactly mate...

No way could most of us live completely off grid, I think things are way too advanced for that...but we could all supplement our own standard of living by not be so reliant on supermarkets and fast food shite...most people will never adjust, but I'd like to think the majority on forums like this would embrace it...

With respect lads, what's the point? You could be totally independent but if a proper catastrophe ever hit then your resources would be raped by a million desperate townies. You'd need a hundred rifles to have a hope of stopping that.

The skills it'd teach are worthwhile but it's not a physical asset if you can't defend it imo.
