Well all I can say to that is you've saw shit shepherd mate cause the shepherds I've seen work wouldn't fold at all it's all down knowing what you can do with a dog you see and believe me don't matter how tough you think a dog is there's always away to get round it especially when people train there dogs to rag hell out of a sleeve don't tell the dog to break off and there's more then 1 person against you in the equation  and I highly doubt any proper security force etc would have a dog like that cause if it ever went tits up somebodies for the swing

ive seen some shit police shepherds before mate do they do different training that aint hardcore? i was chased by one as a teenager and when i turned round and defended myself, shitting my pants i must add, the shepherd turned tail and done one back to its handler. also know a couple lads that have done the same. is it because they aint really trained to take a clumping?

Feck feeding another dog , just put up a couple of Isis flags .. got the police watching my house 24/7 now ?

I married a Northern lass good with kids bit agressive around house & can cook. No one visits anymore. Atb

If you want a yard dog and something to guard your kennels i personally dont think you can beat a well bred bandog type.Naturally territorial, generally not dog aggressive if properly socialised, physic

Its not just police shepherds mate.Theres lots of security dogs and sport dogs that will do the same. All they know in training is the decoy/helper runs off down the field cracking his whip holding his arm in the air then when the dog gets a mouthful of sleeve it gets a little fight which in reality is acting like a reward for getting the bite anyway.Youd be surprised how many dogs will back down if they are given a fight before they actually get the bite, some dont even need to be fought Just certain body languge ,an environmental situation or equipment that they've never witnessed before is enough to back them down. When the germans come over and put their trial on they have 3 classes for for dogs of different abilities or stages of training. Each class has about 6 stations or tests which are different crazy ideas they think up every year but each test finishes as soon as the dogs gets the bite as most dogs will fight like f**k once they get a mouthful but the test is to se what the dog will go through to get the bite and its not always physical stress either.Although the nearer to the gold class you get the more physical it gets.

Yeah I agree you do get dogs that will turn tail if the gas is turned up on them you find that in any breed but that's all down to the dog some of the stuff you see people doing with dogs is all down to roll play aswell you put a dog in a situation it's not been in before you'll soon see what they've got

Lets be honest in this day and age with all the new laws on dogs and stuff a lot of the time now they don't want dogs to bite the bye gone years when the police would take on any dog didn't matter if it was nasty they'd use it it's all history now it's all sniffer dogs and stuff people are training

True Penda. This is my old mans line of work. A few years back it was all shepherds for guarding/protection type work. Now it’s all tracking/search/cadaver work. He has trained 2 shepherds this year for search but people prefer to see spaniels and labs doing that type of work.

The shepherds he sent overseas weren’t lacking in anything. I would have one for a guard anytime!

i did wonder if it had much to do with the training etc mate as you never see them being trained to take a clump and that before or after the bite. those germans sound like some real pros in that field i would love to see it i can imagine its a quality day watching man and dog working that hardcore! i could imgine me and my dog would have a right day as shes a natural protector and guard! nothing close to there standard i know but has done me proud more than once!
