I’ve just been to drop some ferrets off for the keepers etc and sort my Truck tyres out.

All set to start now. Couple more weeks and I’ll have a walk with the dogs.

My pictures for this season are going to be start of the day pics instead of the usual big bag of rabbits lined up to show off at the end of the day.

Have a bloody good season everyone.

I doubt I’ll go out till late September early October the cover is high and when shooting last week was still getting milky does and one pregnant one, was deliberately only shooting the odd one to show my face as would hunt them with dogs and ferrets rather than shoot them. Amazed by the amount of pictures online of blokes lamping already and not the odd run 40 rabbit bags if the pictures are to be believed!

One muppet local to me has been posting pics on Facebook of his lamping outings, really chuffed with himself catching 1/2 grown rabbits and leverets, when some one said it’s abit earlie his come back was just keeping up with everyone else,

I can't wait. Went out for a walk the other day with the dog and rifle and the cover is still so thick. I went to one warren that is usual full of rabbits and it looks like it's been taken over by wasps.

I think it's going to be a least October before the cover dies off

If its anything like last year the wind and rain will flatten the cover before the frost

Our Very own Mr Darcy was posting pics of his dog catching rabbits on the lamp the other night all over facebook in the middle of August.  So try telling any of these young mad -for - it lads that they can't go out till the season starts and they will laugh at us.

Enjoy what you've got while it lasts chaps. . . Because with the way things are going these days..there will be no places left in a few seasons.

hello group I lost the metal part  inside my transmitter from my cs125 drain tracer kit mk3/ferret finder so now the transmitter isn’t sending a signal.any ideas on how to do a diy job on getting my transmitter working again.I tried some tin foil on the hearing aid batteries and the small metal contact where my pen is pointing to and the receiver beeps every time I press down on the small metal contact in the transmitter.I also tried a screw in the transmitter to make a contact.see my pictures shows my failed diy job attempt.

My little doe has finally had her kits around a week ago their mum is a great little hunter but also a great pet  she is proud of them and i have been close to them but still keeping a distance from them at this stage  hopefully if i can get 3 to 4 bucks for new stock I will be happy with that . My question is I have in the past put my young ones to work with their mum at around 6 months old is that a bit to early. Second of all I will keep one of her daughters for breading as milly is getting old  . With the older ones I will pass them on as pets as that are friendly when handheld but do hunt when they out to work . c
