Been out with lads that ran every run doubled didn't mean there dogs couldn't do em single handed they just did the serious numbers 5 6 times a week the best dog in the world wouldn't have accountted for the numbers they did night in night out single I think everyone is different some like the course some like the kill some just like to be out with there dog away from everyone else.everyone's greatest dog is someone else's shite but as long as your happy with your kennel who gives a feck

Never really went with that Idea.I know a lad who used to run like that.Told me they had 16 one night. All doubled up with 4 dogs.My question was why not just give them 4 each single and actually find out how good the dogs are rather than kidding yourself that they would do it single handed

I'm asking a question because I had 2 mother and daughter that were pretty decent at most jobs.Could catch double figure rabbits on the lamp.deer, fox bolted with terrier and off long slips on the lamp not from a motor,The older one even caught the odd daytime hare in sensible field,What else should a lurcher be able to do?

It's just the way them lads did it and not going to knock em for it they where good at what they did. I never went bull x route personally as I liked more bit of everything as it suited what I did either with my terriers or lamping as local had bit of everything to go at so collie x always suited me

I think you should all interbred your bull xs with mchulls white death it would sort everything out you'd have a true all rounder on your hands stop his debating

if i go out on a lamp on foot and roadsiding be able to stop most of what i slip on regardless what it is and be ready to go again when the window goes down no bull x can do it mate

I really can't believe that just because he's never seen a decent bull cross it means that the dont exist.Ive never seen a saluki cross do a decent job on foxes.Doesnt mean I don't believe there's none out there.

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
