I had a couple of girl pals years ago, one of them, we had f****d about a bit with each other but found it wasn't really for us and plus I found her too nice a person to subject her to me and my habits as a young man.

She went off to university in Liverpool and we would write to each other as pals (how old fashioned !) and when she was back we would spend time catching up like you would with any pal.

She was nice, funny and well educated (unlike my regular male mates ! Lol ) so it was enjoyable.

It was different......

I don't think you could be pals with a girl like you would a man, they are completely different animals in that way.

When it comes to "don't know if I could resist" type talk, just remember......they all look the same in the dark ;)

Similar situation with a girl I met through my Uni years through mutual mates. Probably only see each other now once a year. Couldn't really be two much more different people but we get on in a different way to what I do with everyone else or other women and have gone this far without f***ing it up for the sake of a shag. Some people you just get enough respect for not to want to f**k it up even though given different circumstances you would be treating them like any other hot woman.

I reckon people behave different with different folks anyway, it's not false just different sides of the coin.

Friendships like this only work when there is no emotional involvement. . Me and my mate can go 6 month without speaking. But neither of us sit wondering what the other is doing

Like silversnake said, friends and families wives and girlfriends prove that you can be.

Not exactly, I don't get TOO close with any women these days but I have never tried or allowed myself to get too close with friends or families wives and girlfriends. I have no intention of testing my resolve. I have always found it hard to resist a fine woman or even an average one so when lines start to become blurred I look for the exit these days, which makes me feel a little sad...

Ah well,at least you know you're weakness.

I'd never be tempted to even smash a friend or relatives ex,so if you have that attitude with them, why not female friends?

I'm looking at it from the outside tbh,I don't particularly want to be friends with any woman anyway.
