Funny old game. One's polite,courteous and well spoken,the other one acts like an idiot every time there's a camera pointed at him. I actually think Fury's probably a decent fella btw. gnasher16 29,643 Posted November 3, 2016 Report Share Posted November 3, 2016 (edited) How many times i got to repeat it!...It said in the papers at the time and its still up there on line that the eye specialist said "in his opinion the the injury was caused before the fight" its there in black and white!!...so whats with the cryptic last sentence?...you think me a "cringeworthy adam smith type"...so whos guessing??...now not long back on here last year when Groves fought Jack...you was sending me unwanted PM's out of the blue asking my opinion on the fight...saying i knew my stuff...so i invited you when westham played Norwich to meet up and talk boxing over a cuppa in a cafe run by a local heavyweight that was a meeting place for local boxing people...you didnt fancy that made an excuses about being on holiday...but was still arguing as usual on here that weekend...you see there is nothing i have posted on here i wouldnt say to someones face...and theres some that come on here can vouch for that...so no threats from me im too long in the tooth for that...but you ever this end of the M/A 11 in the arse end of nowhere give me a shout What on earth are you puffing your chest out about there wasnt anything cryptic you seem to be interested in who i am and what im about and your not going to find that out on here you are the one giving it all the " Oi Beryl see him at number 17 he,s a millionaire gangster " like some little old village gossip if you want to know who i am come and find out in the real world.....95 % of folk on here are ok but there has been a small handful of idiots who seemed to get some perverse pleasure from dishing dirt on me concerning my private life that unfortunately a few lads like you have latched onto......yet you are delving into a mans private life from a false name on an internet forum,not very manly really is it you took the conversation away from boxing not me. Made an excuse about being on holiday......firstly i wasnt even aware you are the same fella as the Norwich fan i spoke to but if i said i was on holiday then.....i was on holiday.....if you didnt want a pm why did you answer,i am clearly far more important to you than you are me i barely remember who you are but yes if you are that chap then you had a reasonable knowledge of boxing have i said you havent ?....all ive said is its book knowledge alone.....they say you can tell a lot about a man by the books he reads and by the sound of it your one of these who reads boxing books galore probably along with a few true crime and hardmen books.........the only books ive read over the last few years were a couple of British Finch books Mr Darcy off here kindly gave me but each to his own ! Editted to add.....thinking about it please dont tell me you are that lad who used to come out with all the Clint Eastwood sayings because i said his dog was fat or something like that are you ?.......if so i think we,ve been round this roundabout before a few times havent we and nothing ever came of it so just do us a favour treacle,talk all the boxing stuff you like,do all the fearless toughman sayings you like.... just dont gossip about my life without knowing me theres a good lad ....tell you what i,ll send you another one of those pm,s you dont like instead....save adding any more chapters. Why do people these days make such a big deal about a fighter getting decked in sparring.....only in todays internet world has it ever been important i saw good fighters like Bruno/Mason/Kaylor/Marsh/Benn decked regularly it was no big deal i remember Nigel Benn suffering a heavy knockdown by a well known east end tattooist it wasnt big news even in gyms it was hard sparring back then you took punches sometimes thats the sport. Why anybody would think less of a fighter because he got put on his arse learning his trade shows a little bit about where the sport is becoming too transparent in my eyes what happens in the gym stays in the gym was always how it was as there was no reason for anything different but now it seems theres a whole new world within the boxing world to keep entertained. Lol you can have that one cushty Gnasher I agree mate on the sparing thing are going to happen and its quite natural. ...but as for the social media thing well its a double edged sword I guess... boxers and promoters seem very keen to over egg there puddings via social media and use it to over hype everything and relive hard working people of there coin by selling them bull crap so don't be surprised when it turns round and bites them on the ass from time to time...I think for casual boxing fans and i am one the show starts long before the fight.
