Anyway who gives a shit, OgogWHO......

The lad will be lucky to go further than domestic level imo....

Totally agree never rated the lad anything more than British possibly European level......not that theres anything wrong with that.

Nothing wrong at all, he can be proud of what he's achieved in life but the pro game is a different ball game.

In all fairness i do think theres times when these Olympians tend to skip through domestic level i think theres a ton of fighters coming up through the ranks who if given the opportunity would more than likely pull some of these Olympians apart on the domestic scene......with an Olympic medal comes instant exposure/money and the tough local lads are swerved.....as you say the ams and pros are miles apart.

Did you get my pm gnash ? .......

What Joshua is proving is what a lot of fighters talk about but dont actually do......he is doing the good old fashioned thing in boxing of letting his fists do the talking by not bashing around idiot

All this talk of blurred vision and loss of balance, how come I didn't have either yet I looked like the elephant man with my eye swollen completely shut??

Theres a lot of different types of orbital fractures from a complete blow out where the pressure causes the orbital wall to literally blow out to what they used to call a tripod fracture where the orbital nerve is affected which Ogogos looks like.

A few pages back your saying you dont 'buy the excuses' put out by Ogogo's team...making out they are dishonestly telling lies to make excuses for pulling there lad out...but now you've changed your mind that he dose have a fracture...didnt you once tell us all a little story about how you knew Tony Sims and go down his gym regular to take the future heavyweight champion of the world on the pads?...you seem pretty quick to call your pal a liar

Slow down son slow down.......i dont know if he has an orbital fracture im not a doctor.....what i do know is that he didnt knowingly go into a fight with one.....the word you seem to of got all wrong in your judgment is the word " did " instead of the word " might ".......the doc said he " might " of had it before the fight...thats like a doctor saying Wayne Rooney " might " of had a hairline fracture before a game.....its highly unlikely but not an impossibility......you say your wife worked in a & e so she will know just like i do that a hairline fracture can come from almost any kind of twisting/turning/impact/non impact.......an orbital fracture only comes from impact you cant fall over, twist your back and your eye socket fractures.....hence when you get smashed in the face and fracture your eye socket you tend to know you,ve been smashed in the face ......Tony Simms like most trainers stop their fighters from sparring at least 10 days out from a fight so unless Ogogo fell out of bed and bumped his eye,but then forgot that he did it when having his pre fight medicals then i would take it for what it is and for what often happens when young prospects get unexpectedly beaten.

Why you are being a dick to me about friendships i might have or who and what i do in boxing gyms i dont know.....if im not wrong your the lad who has read every book and magazine ever published on the sport but by the sound of it you have never been near let alone in a boxing gym or around boxing people....which to me sounds pretty bizarre but hey as long as what you read is spelled correctly then stick to what you read as the truth no problem ;)

The statement from the eye specialist didnt say 'might' it said "in his opinion the injury was caused before the Cunningham fight"...all i've done is quote that and give the opinion that it is entirely possible and got a shit ton of abuse for saying it!...Tony Sims has bigger fish to fry...he helps train Anthony Joshua and works his corner...there's noway in my opinion he's going to risk his reputation by telling lies in the press and putting out bogus eye specialist statements...you only have to look at the picture a few pages back to see the injury...all this talk of heads blowing up like the elephantman...you only have to look at Brook who had a similar injury a few weeks back to see that dont always happen...and if it looks like that in the ring...you just know its going to be X10 worse in the morning...you boasted, bragged and name dropped on a public forum about knowing someone...then came on here the next minute calling them a liar...all i did was point that out...so whos the Dick??

This book thing you always go on about gives me a chuckle...yeah i like to read a bit of Boxing history...i notice you've posted a massive 16,000 posts on here! you must have read a shit ton of posts on here to do that! pages and books worth of mainly a load of old bollocks arguing on the General talk section!...each to their own and all that...i can think of better ways to spend my time...and your wrong in your assumption i've never been in a boxing gym...(pretty sure we had this conversation before) but i dont need to come on here to boast and brag about who iam...but no i've never boxed as a pro and no i never had a proper amateur career yes i have only boxed/sparred in the gym...hands up to that one...there are reasons for that...but this is the hunting life not this is your life...so are you really telling me you cant have an opinion on Boxing unless you fought as a pro?...thats a pretty arrogant attitude you got!...you need to learn everyones opinion on sport is as valid as yours.

But right its easy to come across wrong on here...i mean you 'sound' like a Walter Mitty...but who knows...you might really be a heavyweight gangster millionaire who hangs out with all the top boxing trainers but has nothing better to do with his life than sit arguing on the general talk section of a hunting forum...who knows eh?

There was no signs or symptoms of a broken eye socket, at least with Brook you could see an injury. You keep pushing the agenda that it happened prior to the fight so I'll ask you. Do you think Ogogo and his team would not realise something was up with the eye if it happened in sparring?

And you keep saying he said this and that, last I read all I could see is a statement from Ogogo, where's the evidence?

While i certainly wouldnt claim to read as much as you do i did read a couple of reports saying a doc said " it may have been caused before the fight "....however the fact that Ogogo didnt make any mention whatsoever about such an injury or trouble with his vision until after the first round suggest its not too difficult a scenario to work out.

" boasted bragged and name dropped "....stone the crows.....look just because you probably come from some place in the arse end of nowhere and find it totally astounding that another person could possibly actually know a few pro athletes/coaches doesnt mean the person is bragging/boasting about it.......put it this way if i wanted to brag/boast about something it wouldnt be about who i know ;) .......if you think that just because somebody happens to be a friend i think it means they have never told a fib then ok.....maybe you surround yourself with vicars or something !

The book reader thing gives me a chuckle too....you strike me as one of these cringeworthy Adam Smith types who knows every fighters inside leg measurements, every story ever published....yet is totally naïve to what go,s on inside a boxing ring or how the game works...ive come across your types before and just as your last paragraph proves people like you come to a point where your book knowledge runs out so you then try to get the upper hand by focussing on the person rather than the point of the argument and throw out a few little personal digs as its the only thing left to keep them in the argument......ie.....they have no real life experience of the subject to fall back on so they try to attack your experience....its basic non competitor attitude and fits right in with these weirdo book worm types.

I could sit here addressing all the random shit you,ve pulled me on like posting on the general section etc but quite frankly i think it says more about you than it does me i mean have a look at that last paragraph you wrote and tell me thats not a pathetically desperate attempt to have a pop at someone over a silly boxing disagreement on an internet forum.....please dont try to pretend thats the sort of thing proper people do have some pride in yourself for f**k sake i think ive said before theres only really one way to find out certain things if your that curious but guessing is just silly ;)

BBBofC are looking into it...so doubt they made the whole fractured eye socket thing up.. ;)

A fighter and his team have got to notify them on any medical conditions or injuries before they sign the fight off, no way in hell would an experienced coach send him in with that injury.

The coach didnt send him in with that injury...like i said in my original post they obviously didnt realise how bad it was... probably took a knock in sparring which was made worse in the fight...until rustyterrier put this idea in your head that the coach shouldnt of sent him out you was convinced it was all made up demanding to see his doctor!...clearly the lad has a fractured eye socket...of course he not made it up... my point was when ever or however this was done... its going to impair his vision and balance thats why he was pulled out...simple as that...im no big fan of Ogogo...but a bit harsh to write the lad off on his first loss caused through a serious injury
To have a broken eye socket the injury has to be recent otherwise it will heal by itself and not be a broken eye socket anymore, I know this first hand when I had a bit of bother just over a year ago. Rusty didn't put nothing in my head, I don't believe he had an injury before the fight or at any time in the bout as he showed no signs of distress.

It's not just the loss, I've never been impressed with him if I'm being honest.

I dont rate the lad. However i turned on and saw last three rounds and straight away I thought something wasnt right. Basiclly I saw the guy in Kannys pic. It was obvious something was wrong and personally I think his corner were right, same as brooks were, to pull him out before more damage was done. You could see the lad didnt wana pack in but the corner did the right thing. If you think he didnt have an injury during the bout we must have been watching different fights.

Novody is sayin he never got injured during the fight mate. Folk are suggesting he went into the ring with his eye socket already broken. Nonsense

I think its quite plausible that he stepped into the ring with a broken eye socket.

The only way they could check every bone in a boxer before a fight.

Would be for them to have an mri scan.

I badly sprained my ankle last xmas.

Big purple swelling.i went for an x-ray and once the doctor showed me and the wife the x ray.there was no break.

But there was a piece of bone about the size of a piece of sweet corn about.5mm from my leg bone just sitting there.

He said it looked like an old break.

But as far as im aware ive never broke my ankle.

It must of happened when i was playing rugby about 25yrs ago.

And i must of been playing rugby with a broken ankle.

So i think he could of broke his eye socket maybe a hair line break

Then 1 big punch could of really broke it.
