Never to old to retrain KD…….go for it

I dont believe in them courses mate. What they teach you you could learn off google and you tube. Have a think what you want to do i.e. domestic or commercial/construction then research what quals are

I've got a mate who only learnt to read at 31, he's a teacher now.

Great stuff pal, anyone who puts the effort in to learn a trade to better their lives has my respect, even more so doing it later in life.

ATB pal, onwards and upwards

At 41, starting to get too many joint problems to stay in the building trade too many more years. I did look into chiropractic training and a lot of people train as chiropractors at that age and the prospects for establishing a succesful business are good. However, the thought of five years full time at university is off putting, especially having wasted three years of my life at uni as a kid (hated it and the degree wasn't worth the paper it was printed on). Need to think up some better ideas :hmm:

Don't know what to do though really, dogs and kids take up any spare time thats the trouble

Professional pigeon shooter would be nice lol

Yip....like everyone has said just go for it. You already have a trade to fall back on so if things don't go to plan there is always another option. But if they do and you get your qualifications then it's just a case of getting your foot in the door. Plumbing is an excellent job for picking up homers too so there is always money to be made.

He needs 2 jobs to keep his woman accustomed to the luxurys he's been bestowing on her. LOL

Chiros are a dying trade better to train as a physio and get a proper qualification which deals with the whole body rather than just backs see link http://www.physis.uk.com/physiotherapy-vs-chiropractic-vs-osteopathy/

As to age, I trained as a brickie 30 plus years ago as a young whipper snapper then started retraining as a nurse at the age of 39 qualifying at 42. Never to old.

Im a sparky by trade, at 31 (this year) I started doing Audio Visual as wanted to get employed as always been self employed simce leaving school. I fell into this really as the mrs said just send em a cv as the office is 5 mins from where I live as at the time I was looking for more sparky work but for companies.

Wouldnt say Im 100% happier or better off now but its a hell of alot easier! Just have to deal with the nerdiest men you could ever imagine on a daily basis which is pretty f***ing hard haha I miss the building site banter....most of my work now is in churches and im the most un religious man you could meet.

Go for it, never too old especially not at the ripe old age of 31
