We couldnt lamp without a filter and we need good distance. I soon got rid of my 170 when I found these. They are all british made and wired a lot better than deben. Im not saying they are perfect because they are not but you can send a dog out to quarry that thinks its safe because it shines a long way,and the led batteries weigh nothing and last well. I suppose a lot depends on where you live and the country you lamp. The la10 is not to be confused with the smaller clulite that looks the same but doesnt have the 100w bulb and steel reflector.
