Welsh_red 5,057
Between 1206 and his death in 1227, the Mongol leader Genghis Khan conquered nearly 12 million square miles of territory—more than any individual in history. Along the way, he cut a ruthless path through Asia and Europe that left untold millions dead, but he also modernized Mongolian culture, embraced religious freedom and helped open contact between East and West
Born Hunter 17,960
Mad Jack Churchill - "If it wasn't for those damn Yanks, we could have kept the war going another 10 years!" There are lots of countries, peoples and empires renowned for their military capability, it's too difficult to compare them across history.

MickC 1,825
People should realise that wars are just rackets and are mostly first and foremost one of the Worlds biggest money makers. USA thrives on it with munitions sales etc. A war breaks out, that will do nicely, big sales for the arms trade. Second Iraq war,no wmd found yet to this day, invasion happened USA took over got the oil and give themselves all the contracts, bin wagons, heavy plant, construction contracts, forced to buy American grain to plant there crops etc etc, then to cap it all off they made the citizens start to pay income tax ! Tiercel 6,986
In very early days wars were a form of population control. Once upon a time in the big valley there were two tribes the Norths and the Souths. They lived each side of the big river and everything was peaceful, until the population got so big the land could not support the tribe. The solution was for the tribes to go to war to gain more land. Going to war was the best outcome for both tribes, during the skirmishes they would kill their enemies men and take the women, there-by introducing new blood to the tribe. After a period of time the population would drop to a point where the land was able to support each tribe again, where-on a truce would be called and they would go back to living happily, till the next time.
