BIGLURKS 874 Posted October 16, 2015 Report Share Posted October 16, 2015 I've only had experince with 3 Akitas and every one of them has been dog aggressive on 2 seprate accounts dogs of mine have been attacked and it was Akitas the first time was when my nana was walking a lab of mine it came out of no where and ripped the dogs back leg open that lab was never the same round other dogs took 3 years for him too really trust other dogs again and the last time I was up in the woods with the 2 I've got and all I could hear was this woman screaming my big dog was having a piss and this thing cum bounding over and latched on too my lurchers face little did the big c**t know I had the terrier there with in split seconds the c**t was hanging off the balls of this Akita bye god it wasn't so macho of a dog when they both started too rip the fluff out of it they were like a possess devil twins then when I got my two off she started trying too say my dogs were too blame Quote Link to post Share on other sites

lukey 1,621 Posted October 16, 2015 Report Share Posted October 16, 2015 Had one as a yard dog in a place where barking at someone would be no good, the dog was spot on for what I needed him for but I couldn't take my eye of the c**t when cleaning and feeding the other dogs, I really think he wanted to bite me! He escaped out the yard at night and was hit by a train! Cushty I hear of these dogs biting kids and owners quiet a lot so I hope you don't end up regretting getting one if you do mate. I've known 3 Akitas be PTS after biting little kids they had grown up with, one poor wee boy got a full mouth bite across the face he was in and out of surgery for years Really would think long and hard before bringing one into a home with kids, be real careful about the breeder you choose and do a hell of a lot of research into the line. Fine if you're a grown man capable of dominating such a powerful dog, different story if you're weak or a child though. Stupid bint had zero understanding of dogs and training them. She used to have it on the sofa with her and dangle her long hair in its face and mouth. He used to love the hair in his mouth, i assume it was the strands inbetween his teeth. Me and a mate were round there with her, her sister and her sisters kid. My friend heard a noise upstairs and the kid was missing. The mothers quote was " its probably the kid playing upstairs ". My friend went upstairs to check and the kid was on the floor with the akita on top knawing at her hair. He dragged the dog of and told the girl to scram. The dog turned to him and he gave it a boot and locked it in the room. Havnt seen the girl for years but she lives local, has 6 ft panel fencing all round and the dog lives in the garden at all times, never gets walked. When u walk the lane by the house the panels shake as the dog goes apeshit jumping and barking. Hardly a life. apparently she has bred from him Now i know this story isnt about the breed as such its the type of melons that will breed this type of dog for money. I have no doupt a decent type of dog owner could work wonders with these dogs tho. Been to pembrey dog show this year and there were tonnes of them and malamutes about. I reckon I could buy a pup out of the classifieds and have a formidable,if not stable guard dog in 18 months with little or no training,you can't say the same for a lot of working shepherds let alone lines that have been bred for show\pet for the last 50 years.
