when I was a kid a lot of the racing dogs worked  as well, I bred whippet into the coursing stuff to pep them up for the tighter land, then line bred for a gen or two all 22/23 ish and sharp fk.

I have 2 retired racing dogs pedigree and they were both very good but both had injured toes but the club I ran at a lot had toe problems

Lol they love their sleep in old age these whippets that's all Poppy does these days.

The old lad still out every wk for a run on the small fields he’s happy scenting em up for a quick spin

It is mate, I owned a bull bitch that was catching foxes from 12 month to the age 10 years but all me whippet does these days is eat, sleep and shit.
