they are doing 2, 1 on a london radio station then 1 on bbc2. i think clegg will use the 1st as a tester then have a massive team preparing him for the second after they have analysed every thing nigel has said.... backed up by the bbc.

it will be a lynch mob with a presenter programmed to help clegg.

They can try and lynch him as much as they want. If he's really got what it takes to take UKIP all the way, going toe to toe with the Lib Dems is the first major battle. Having one hand tied is to be expected. Nigel is a cool customer, intelligent and with a solid basis for his political arguments. He's not going to walk into this expecting a fair fight. UKIP isn't just a nationalist protest party anymore, they have sound politics which are very appealing to the British working classes and Middle classes alike.

If the man keeps talking the household brand of familiar common sense politics that has taken him this far, even if he doesn't have all the answers right now, the electorate can at least feel like they have someone on a similar wavelength. Which is much more than can be said of any of the others, imo.

One battle at a time. The only thing that worries me is Nigel IS the party at the mo. Without him UKIP would be nothing. It seems to me they need some depth for longevity.

Should be interesting. Clegg has proved he's a spineless wonder after breaking so many pre election pledges for a stint in power, but then again he also came out on top when the three main leaders went up against each other in the run up to the last election.

I was just going to say that. That last time when they all had a big discussion no-one really knew Clegg but he was a great speaker and won the crowd. I hope Farage can beat him in the verbal fisticuffs. Im erring on voting UKIP but still not sure. My main problem is the right wing vote is getting watered down too much.

The way i see it if out of 100 voters half are to the left half are to the right then roughly labour will get 50 votes but the right wing 50 will spread between Conservative and UKIP and a few hard right will vote EDL, BNP etc which means Labour get in again and I would hate that to happen.
