Did you grow any sprouts John or you not keen on them ? Chickens looking in fine fettle as all ways

I did not grow any this season terry. i have ordered all my seeds so next year i will grow some. i left nearly half the plot fallow this season just to manure in and give the ground a rest. So I didnt have much space. Some of the chickens are starting to lay again after moulting.

yes very good prices put in a small order. I also have loads of seeds left from last year which seems a shame to waste

You will be surprised how long some seeds will last, beetroot seeds are viable for up to 5 years.

The only seeds I buy new every year are parsnip and parsley if I am growing them that year. The rest I will sow till the packet is empty. This years leeks are from a packet I bought 3 years ago.

Edited to add: You can freeze Parsnip seeds to save for the next year.
