    I have always been a collie cross fan, in fact except for one beddy cross I have always had a collie cross in the kennels over the last 30 years, at the moment I have an old boy long past his best a collie whippet greyhound, and my rabbiting dog Mouse a little typ ratcher breed 3/8 collie bitch, I got this bitch of my rabbiting partner chipper last season aged 10 months, she had an exellent first season this is the first 3/8 I have had but it wont be the last, she has an exellent burst of speed some times a little to fast for the land we work in the dales with large rocks and very uneven land

    I have a litter poleys to take along with us, also if any one else would like to order terrier boxes or ferret boxes to pick up at the show feel free to call the shop and let us know, might have a deal on a couple of new locators has well, Tom did you get the ferret box OK for you draw, hope to see you all there dont be shy introduce your selves and have a bit crack, myself chipper and young john will be there on sat night and should be seeing off a few beers

    I saw these collar at the pennine lucher and terrier show last weekend for the first time, very well made an exellent product, and I would think they have a place in the future, some of the heavyer ones would look better on bull crosses and bigger dog but there was a full range with lighter collars to suit smaller dogs, and the brass terrier coupling where first class

    Last year I changed all my nets for yellow polyester, the only difference it makes is I dont lose any now

    Rhodey your much better off with the extra hight, over the years I have made a lot of ferret courts and kennels, some people want low set ups so they can't be seen over garden fences and wall but if you can it makes life a lot easyer if you can stand up in them

    Its a bit off topic but Chipper (Warren) off this site and myself where to run the prince bishop show again this year, but have called it off because of this very thing, we feel that the working dog shows are no longer that, and they are becoming a watered down version of the KC shows with folk taking them and themselves far to serious, the day when a show was a day out in the summer months to meet lads and lasses for a bit of crack and may be sort out a stud dog for later use have gone by the way, yes there are still good working dogmen out there but every year it gets worse and worse and we

    Exellent job there, on the blocks we use 1/2 inche blocks cut from strips of off cut shiplap, but the idea of plastic contiboard conectors is a good one and one I will look at using myself in the future, I have said this in the past, one thing about these site is some one always come up with ideas for thing that have been stairing us in the face for years and we just havn't seen them, always listern to knew ideas from others be they new to the sport or old hands

    the new kennel in place you have a nice spot there mate, bit open but good scenary, hope you got the base in and the dog setteled, its taken a while to get this up but I lost the picture, all's well that ends well

    This topic has got me very intrested, unfurtunetly to night I must go and help my old dad empty a bottle of whisky because I will be at the welsh with warren this week end but when I get back in I will do my best to find the pictures of david pikes ashy and rest of the family, keep it going people I will be back
