  3. We have had many good days this season all posted on other sights, if you would like I can post them on here too
  4. I have hunted with chipper and this little hound and only speak well of it, what a cracking little dog he is, and when hunted with the rest of the pack its a great sight and sound has they push game from the undergrowth, ecellent fun

After yesterdays cold wet trip out, today seen us back up on the dales in better weather, today we took Chipper old bitch Nell up on to the top level to work the dead bracken beds and marsh grass, Nell points and pulls rabbits from these places with the best of them and better than most, it is a real pleasure to watch, its a hard slog getting up there but well worth the hike for the number of bunny on the ground up there, on the way up there we past a group of about fourty boy scouts, we offered them the usual bob but none where willing to carry the gear for us, whats the world coming to maybe

Today Chipper young John and myself made our way up on to the dales, has we got closer the weather slowly got worse, with wind and drizzle as well as a mist coming down off the tops it looked like we were in for a bad day, we parked up at the keepers house by now it was blowing a gale and the fine icey drizzle cut in to your face, we made up our minds to leave the net bag and just have a quick walk out and ferret a couple of rabbits for Molly the young tumbler and Mouse, the dale we were on today goes up on four levels, we decided to stay on the lower level and just as well by time we got up o

  13. We would set of sat afternoon down to Manchester, couple of pints in the Mariners pub take the train to Wigan do the all nighter back up to Darlington for tea time hit the sack for a couple of hour then to the Newton Aycliffe methodist chaple for 8 o'clock for oldies night

Jasper and Duckwing you guys are were it at great music , just came across your post and have spent the last three hours on utube, had my son of fifteen sniggering at my old record collection that I just had to get out and tell tales of wigan and the mecca he couldn't understand why some of the records had music but no words

After not getting out for a couple of weeks, due to Chipper losing his terrier so we spent a week looking for it, and myself being busy with work, this weekend I had no van because it was in the garage so we thought we would have a look out with the dogs and ferrets, knowing it was going to be a hard frost we aranged to meet Andrew and Don to do some big sets on the dale, so Chipper young John and myself arrived on the dales in a bright sunny afternoon and could see rabbits droping into the sets we where to work,the first place was a mound of black slate shale a place so hard we had to knock t

  21. Yes I would compare it to holing a salmon and holding a beanbag, dont know if you noticed but they have blue eyes and mine wont look you in the eye, they look away all the time
  22. fubar the guy that bred mine still has the pure wild hob this was tame when I first took my young on, I handled the hob he was tame as akitten great to handle solid had the feeling of, well like holding a fish not like a ferret at all, now when he trys to feed it he uses a welding glove and it trys to pull him in to the cage

  25. This year I had a great idea, why not cross a wild pole cat in to my exellent line of working ferrets to make them better hunters??? A friend saved me a year by sorting me out with two first cross wild pole cat/ferrets thing could'nt get any better,they arrived no problems nice friendly easy to handle, spoke to a couple of hunters on another site about them some of how had tryed this cross them selves in the past, all of who said the sane thing give in before you go any further, my being stubern and Im sure most other folk in my place would have been the same, pushed on, the little criters wh
