    Put a whole carcase down and mine will eat the offal first,heads right in and they look like a pack of wild dogs at times ... Mine are the same. I always though whole carcass feeding was the best way to feed them anyway. I had 6 dogs at one point, and they would polish off a whole roe carcass (roadkill) in 2 days.
