  1. Led Zeppelin, one of my favourite bands. Others include "Pink Floyd" of which I've seen on one occasion. Also saw Queen on 2 occasions in our younger days, however , I do not like (Brian May) for obvious reasons. Other great bands include Black Sabbath, the Who and many more. Perhaps after Pink Floyd another band of which I think deserved more recognition and vastly underrated and many of the older generation may agree was the glam rock band called :"Sweet'."What a great band to see live in concert"! However, one has so many different tastes in music of which include (classical) and much more.
  2. Hello to all members, I do like Taxidermy and I know some of the greatest Taxidermists in the business, especially regarding some of my friends in America and also in certain parts of Europe. I have met some good ones in England, and I am aware of 2 of the really good ones in my opinion who include "Mike Gadd" and "Carl Church". I did contact Mike Gadd via email this year of which I wanted 2 bitch Stoats mounting that my brother had trapped. Unfortunately Mike was far too busy with a somewhat busy work load; so I will have to look elsewhere. Also my brother
  3. Hello Seeker, from our first encounters in the fields when very young we could only dream of the big players in the game of sporting optics which of course included: Carl Zeiss, Swarovski and Leica . "I can remember receiving a pair of (Commodore) Binoculars from our parents, and reflecting upon the situation, they didn't suit our needs at the time, mainly birdwatching was our chosen interest but when we got older and with work and money in our pockets we started to really look at the really high-end optics. Nowadays I have several Leica pairs, only one pair of Zeiss which are the 10x40 classi

  7. Dear Fellow Falconers, Just a few photos which may have been more appropriate in the short wing column. However, it is a photo of my brother, David age just 15 with his "Musket" Jez and his great dog Betsy of which she met her untimely death! Hope fellow enthusiasts enjoy some of the photos. My best regards, Lutra...

Hello to everyone, Just thought I'd post a few photos while out hawking with friends a few weeks ago. My main interest are the short wings, mainly the difficult (Sparrow hawk). Hoping the photos may gather just a little interest from fellow Falconers. Regards, Lutra...
  10. Apologies, but I failed to mention that Leica have produced their new product binoculars, the "Leica Noctivid".
  11. Hello to everyone, I would like to hear from any particular members of their particular experiences with any binoculars they have at present, or have had in times gone by? Do any members go for the inexpensive type model or do they pay high prices for their optics regarding their viewing pleasures? Although many members will have the knowledge regarding the leading players in the world of optics, i.e. Carl Zeiss, Swarovski, Leica. However, there are nowadays many other companies that make some outstanding binoculars and telescopes of which haven't got the wonderf
  12. How much have you got to spend if you don't mind me asking Sir?
  13. Craig, I will see what I can do for you.
  14. Hello readers, Just thought I'd enclose this little gem in my opinion. In Davids bedroom with his 2 "Mormon Missionary friends. Elder Yates from Utah and Elder Ashby from Idaho. "Topsy can be seen on Davids bed. I think the Missionaries are reading certain books about Black Bears as they shoot them over there, and a very close friend of mine who lives in Arizona, also uses his own hounds to hunt bear in Arizona. He uses the blue ticks and some use the July hounds. In the future I plan to go over there when unfinished business has been hopefully resolved in England. The M
  15. Bridgedale are good. Also try Woolpower, and any other other Woolpower Clothing. All of it's range is superb and is made of Merino wool. It's still warm when wet and you don't have to keep washing it. I have some Woolpower sweaters in different weights. The sweaters starting at 200g m, 400 gm and finally the really thick one the 600gm. They are superb, but quite expensive. Also try Icebreker. Also with the Woolpower gear you get certain tags sown into your garment and the person who makes your sweater stitches their own name in your garment. For example, I'm looking at a sweater now in my poss

  17. Hello Socks, Just saw your post regarding certain sites that will deliver traps to England. If you can give myself a little time I will see what I can do for you. 20. Hello to all members, Apologies for my somewhat long hiatus regarding posting anything that may be of interest to certain readers. After perusing certain books and magazines a short while back, I thought this post may be of some interest to the good terrier lads on this forum. A certain magazine published in the year of (1958) caught my attention regarding the advertising of certain litters of terrier pups for sale. We all know how times have changed, unfortunately not for the better! However, one has to make do with what one has in the way times are toda
