Back around 2000,I was working as a greenkeeper/pest controller at a local golf club,out in the sticks ,it came with a little cottage,my mate Kevin used to do the night Watchmen job...the owners had 3 ridgebacks,a male and 2 females...tbh they wasn't worth a wank ,bar the 1 bitch Zena...3 years I worked there,and every time I went near the 1 bitch, would have to give the cnut a sausage from the kitchen or a food treat....it was a sly cnut,try and walk past it without the treat,and it would charge and grab youhad a few members and had to be PTS in the end......she used to follow me digging...

Mates was using these 20 yrs back... stopped them until they got wise...he had 2 poisoned and another they enticed to the boundary fence,snared it around the neck, dragged to the fence where they strangled it then stoved it's skull in with a hammer Like I said...a dog is no deterrent when someone wants what you have...they just f**k off and come back with a way around it

Unfortunately,if someone is determined to help themselves to items of your property...all a dog will do,is make them look for a way around it...they will come back and poison/knock it on the head,throw something else in to keep it busy,and still rinse you Only real way to stop scum,is to catch them at it...find out what they drive,where they live/stay....and burn the cnuts out.... Or you could pass on the information and rely on the Police? I know what road I would take personally

Some bits of water are faster than others( interesting fact for you-river wye doesn't have any weir's along it's whole length ,just salmon groynes for fish to shelter-in summer they used horses to drag the boats over the rocks etc) depends on the level and rainfall,some days in winter,it can go up 4/6,ft in a few hrs, summertime use anything from 1.5 Oz to 3 Oz,winter floods up to 10 Oz...it goes up over 8 metres in flood from its normal summer levelyou can't even drive up the lane

Remember that mate...then down behind garden centre, gypsy lane..then cedar tree fields...used to love the digging comp end of the day...we all be flat out shifting dirt... taking it in turns to throw up from all the drinklast ones I ever went too was North Wales/Cheshire hunt ones...Bird,Trigger was there with Buck,he was 16 months old at the time,few other sound members off here....how time flies -

It's always to warm to take dogs to these shows imo...I always remember my local Terrier and lurcher show would be around end of march, first week of April the latest ? You could go digging in the morning,and tip up to the entered class and the dogs would still have earth on their backs,and be bumping of scentbull X's pulling the arms off their owners when you did a lap few drinks....then the digging competition -

Can get you grayling,but they don't travel well Len... Tried them years ago in a massive 8ft x 4ft x4ft tank with a load of air stones and jets ,to try and mimic a river....they didn't last a week from memory,same as perch in a tank,chub thrive but f***ing eat everything... Would like to build a coarse pond in my garden,now the kids are grown up,fill with roach,rudd,perch,ruffe, tench,crucian carp etc

I've had barbel to 17lb 6 Oz from the Taff, 5 mins from my house....and fish there go over 20lb I've caught thousands from the Wye,and chub to 8lb..can fish it and not see another soul...just the way I like it... I've no interest in bivvying up on the Trent,or that Bobs Island ....like being sat around a muddy puddle, catching something 2oz heavier than the man the day before
