  1. I looked it up on utube and I wish there was one in the north east.
  2. Hello bigmac That stock looks great, is it a AA stock or an aftermarket stock. Just for my future reference. I think this tool could be a good choice for me in the fullness of time.
  3. I have had Nikon cameras for years so hope it's as good as them. I went for the New pro staff 7 with it's 30 mm tube. I have taken a chance as there is not a lot of info on utube. I could have got an older model a fair bit cheaper but this one called out to me (buy me) so I did.
  4. No it's a 50. It's still in the box in the back of my van. I picked it up yesterday tea time but we had friends round last night so had no time to ply with it.
  5. Hello Simon I had noticed that a lot of PCP's use two piece mounts to over come the access for loading. I also noticed that the PCP did not have much jump when fired. In my mind I liked the idea of the one piece mount because it seems to act as a cradle for the tube to sit in and thought it would have less chance of denting the tube as the one piece would be more in line. I think things through too much lol. I really don't know as I am new to it all and 20 years ago my BSA just had open sights. On another rifle I will open to the idea of good two piece it's all a learning curve for me. Whe
  6. I got the one piece mount yesterday, I noticed that the dampa dm70 on the web site has only 3 screws to clamp to the dove tails but the one sent to me has 4. The packet says it's a dm70 though it looks like a hop40c ? I got it from Ramsbottoms and they were very quick and it was very well packaged.
  7. Nikon pro staff and sportsmatch dm70 one piece mount.
  8. I will keep an eye out for this post, I will get a mate to pay pal for me. Best wishes and good look.
  9. I have a scope winging it's way to me as we speak so we will find out if it's any good soon and if it's not then that will be two springers heading for Sandwell field sports LOL.
  10. Thanks John I have ordered the dm70 dampa mount for my hw95/ Nikon 30mm tube.
  11. Peters air gun farm ?. That sounds good, will watch out for feed back so keep us posted.
  12. Well I have not been feeling the love for springers today as one of the pleasant shooters was giving me a bit of verbal along the lines of :------ Air rifles are not guns and don't recoil and one piece mounts ( DM70 one piece dampa ) are a waste of money for an air rifle etc etc. It was shot gun this and shot gun that and when you get a real gun (shotgun) you will just leave the air rifle in the corner to collect dust and so on. As a new starter I am not 100% sure of all the fact so was not sure how to deal with him so I just thought well he is a shot gun guy so I just foked him off with both
  13. I have got some boxes winging there way from Uttings and Ramsbottoms. I hope the scope is well boxed and marked up as handle with care ?. Do they travel well ?
  14. I have been in the barns again tonight straight after work and have put some time in with the HW 77. I still find it hard to take a standing shot and get them all in a pellet tin circle.
  15. Hello Rez Have you tried the Dampa one piece, thinking for the new 95.
  16. Hello Jonnie I have been in the barns again tonight and was swaping between the 95 with no scope and the 77 with the Hawke HD 3-9x40 and would just like to say it is not as bad as I am making out and is very usable really. I would not want to put anyone off buying one.
  17. Sorry to hear that Dr B. some mate he is. The word tosser comes to mind, I hope he reads this.
  18. Hello Jonnie If I had not had the use of that well set up hw97 old model with it's old Tasco good quality rim fire scope iwould not have noticed the difference. I am looking hard at the New Nikon staff 7, there is a 40 and a 50 with good light transmission. I think they are as much as I think I can push the money. They are a lot of money for me but miles away from the top end of scopes but I am using a HW95 or could put it on the HW77 so for a springer the Nikon should be well up to the job.
  19. What no springer lol.
  20. Found the link for the pictures and codes, still not sure ? DM70 AOP56 HOP40C I think the web sit information is hard to find and poor for a new starter to follow, you have to know what you want. May be they are just aimed at the expert, may be most new starters would just put the cheep ones on. I must say it's all up hill for a new starter to get kitted out, I am pleased I found this site for guidance.
  21. I have just been on the sportsmatch web site and can't see a link to the range of mounts and the codes for ordering. Think I will contact sportsmatch next week, they need to show pictures and codes. I have been on sellers sites but feel the full range is not on view. Wonder how many people have just given up and went with a different type of mount.
  22. Hello Johnie Think I about 4 or 5 and it's a 3-9x40 I did have it up a bit for zero and left it there like a plonker and missed a dead shot first time out because when I put the scope to my eye I lost the bird LOL.
  23. Hello guys Thanks for the replies. I have a sportsmatch one piece double screw mount on my hw77 and when I got it with my Hawke HD the guy in the gun shop made me think I was going over the top and said most people just use the single hawke mounts. I had it in my mind that if I get the singles I would wish I had payed more later on so I went for it. I thought it would be like getting a good pair of shoes then using string for laces. Thing is I am not an expert so only have my gut reaction to guide me. I have looked at J S Ramsbottom site and they are good prices but have no phone numbe
  24. I should have said that is for a HW95 and may be for a 30mm tube. cheers.
  25. Which are the best one piece scope mounts for a springer and where to find them at a good price. Will the scope shake loose or move ?
