  1. So after 7 pages which is best LOL, go and get your springers out.
  2. How do you find the 99 against the 95 ? If you had an and a 100 you would have a full set lol.
  3. HW97......4.2kg/9lbs HW77......4kg/8.8lbs HW80......3.8/8.4 HW95......3.1/6.8 Gun weights all un scoped, the 95 dose jump out when you look at it like that.
  4. Hard to say at the moment because i find the HW95 lighter and very accurate , 97 k heavy and very accurate and the between the two in weight and very accurate , but if i could only have one it would be 97k in .22 Interesting why the 97 over the 77 ?
  5. Which one would you say was best.........97......77........or the
  6. Ok so there seems to be quite a few drop in spring kits but what about the actual tuning of the parts with regard to total seal ?
  7. Thanks I will check that out, Have you got any photo's ?
  8. So I think the next move is to sort the springers out so I can get the best out of them but before they are taken apart you said in my early advice that I need to keep an eye on the power and what good is advice if it's not taken. I have ordered a mini chrono which is winging it's way to me as we speak. What a good forum this is..........cheers lads.
  9. I may try them out when I get some spare cash and add a HW80 to the collection (would that be a good addition).
  10. That's a good contact that I will keep, cheers.
  11. Has any one got photo's of the parts for hw95 and 77. I can see there is a piston in the main body of the 95. Then on the 77 there is a piston in a cylinder tube that moves in the main body, what is that bit called and what is a liner ?. I can see by having a quick look around that there are some aftermarket parts but I have also seen that the said parts have been fitted and removed because the owners have not liked them because of poor quality. On a good quality gun you want same or better quality to improve the rifles. It's good to get quality parts at a fair price but it's no good pay
  12. So would that be Sportsman Guns not Hull Cartridge ?
  13. The only thing that would stop me putting my ones in is the turn around time.
  14. Hello villaman Tell me more about the moderator, has it had a weight added or is it an off the shelf one that weighs more ? Have you stripped and polished it. Has it got all standard parts, spring etc ?.
  15. What a week, I had my wallet taken while I was working at the back of the farm house. It had my cards my licence and all that in it. to say I was in a flap would be an under statement. I had to dash to the Abbey to stop my cards and all my details were on the driving licence so it could be used on the net. Then a dash to the cop shop to report it incase the cards were used. All the next day I was thinking about the cards getting used. All the guys were asking who had been in the work area and I just said that it was my fault for having it in my tool bag and was not going to start pointing f
  16. The target tune piston and cylinder looks a bit micky mouse and have seen a post by a guy that had to sent the kit back and get a refund. My 77 and 95 are both new but how long they have been in stock I don't know ?. What is the best after market piston/cylinder/ spring that money can buy ?
  17. Hello guys I have put a few nights in after work and I am getting on with it OK. I have run out of H&N FTT pellets and when I went to get some more they were £13 and was not sure that was a good price so I had a look around at another shop but they did not stock them. There was a few makes but he said they only stock RSW superdome in 14.5g which he said were springer pellets and all the other stock was for PCP's.................?. I felt like he was talking down to me a bit but they were £7.50 for 500 which seemed ok so I thought I would give them a go. They seem to be going ok but are a
  18. Why don't you just order one ?what price are they Hello toby I am not sure but the the air gun world book says £334 for a hw95k and if the tune was about 150 ish give or take that would make it about475/485 ish that is just a guess they may cost more ?. You can get none Hull cartridge 30 quid cheeper but I think SFS guns are from the main importer. The only down side that I can see is the turn around time, he is well sort after. You could always get a new none importer gun and get it worked on. Check out the thread on hw tuning that is on at the moment, there is a guy who could sort yo
  19. Hello John Both rifles are new, will I be able to tell by the numbers ?
  20. Why don't you just order one ?
  21. What are the after market pistons and piston tubes like also good quality springs and white nylon tophats and spring supports ?. Why do weihrauch make the pistons like that, they look to me like it's metal on metal with a bit of grease to keep them apart.
  22. Is gliding the piston the same as buttoning ?
  23. Hello Chris Thanks for that very kind offer and it sounds like a good deal to me. Can I hold on that and get back to you as I have warmed to the idea of looking inside to see how it all ticks. This is a great forum that has taken me from zero to two nice rifles in a short space of time. regards Mike.
