  1. Sandwell Field Sports, they sell it. No need to oil a beech stock, they're sealed.... Thanks Dr b that confirms what I thought about the stock, and I have been putting off calling Sandwell field sports because I want to order a rifle but know he is rushed of his feet trying to get rifles ready for people and talking to me will stop him working.
  2. Hello villaman you just hit the nail on the head, bingo just what I want. I think I will Give Tony a call tomorrow. The only two problems are the distance and that I think the shop is snowed under with work at the moment. The one I shot is up for sale mate , if I didn't have two 97k I would buy this one for sure Thanks for the tip off villaman I contacted your mate but was to late.
  3. Hello Danny Have any of your mates got any relations that go hunting ? What about putting an add in your local gun shop or asking in there about gun clubs for a bit of target shooting you may meet someone there. Good luck with it and don't give up.
  4. The kind of people that do this sort of thing Know all the moves while the rest of us are working our bollocks off to pay for there dole.
  5. Just remind me what the chieftain is. Is it a HW95k which has a silencer fitted and a stage 3 tune ?

  8. sorry I made a typo and the HW95 should have said that the bore was 26mm and the stroke of 85mm giving it a swept volume of 45.13 which is better than a hw77 and hw 97. Is this correct ? as I am not an expert, I just got it off the net.
  9. I have been looking around for info on the hw springers to work out what made them tick and why. There are test reviews but splitting the 99 and 95 was not clear, some said that they were the same so I then started to look at what was inside them and I found this info:- hw77/97 bore 26mm, stroke 81, swept volume 43.01 early models 25x81-39.76 hw95/98 26x81-45.13 hw80 30x80-56.55 -------Magnum esque hw35 30x65- ? hw99 26x71-37.7 Looking at that info my hw77 has a SV of 43.01 and the hw 95 has a SV of 45.13 so should the 95 have plenty of power to get the job done ?
  10. Hello Dr B I will keep a look out for LT6 gun spray, where do you get yours from ? When you say oil the stock, what do you use on say a stained beech as on my new HW77 ? cheers.
  11. I think I am almost there with the choice of my second rifle and think it is going to be a hw95k with moderator. I almost got one on Saturday but thought I would just double check on its internals and make sure that people had not got very bad things to say about them after all you guys have owned and used them so I am giving it a few days to cool off. I have been looking to see what is inside them.
  12. Hello there Yes I have plinked and even managed to hit swinging targets with the hw99 and the hw95. I also used an into the mix which confirmed to me that I like the HW 95. The hw95k had a moderator as standard and it was very well balanced and I never noticed any flip !.
  13. Hello villamanIs that send away prices, the air gun world book price is 334 for the hw95. I had a look in the local gun shop and they had a 350 tag on it, I asked them about price and they said where did I get my price from and just said it's the book price and they twisted a bit and then said they would match the price but I could tell that they were not really happy. I wonder how they would go on with a person that wanted a good price. From my local gun shop and he will do me a HW80k for £350 , the sportingmangus centre are doing the for under £300 and the 95k. http://www.sportsmanguncentr
  14. Hello there The main place I keep it is on the warm side of warm when the heating is on but is no where near any direct heat. I would not put it near a radiator but never thought about it being in a hot place.
  15. Is it normal to be thinking of another springer so soon ? Using the HW 99 and 95 to day I likes the 95 better, I thought I would be chomping at the bit to get a PCP by now but think I may try a hw gas ram after this one. Have I court the springer madness ?
  16. Has anyone used the cs700 thumb hole stock and got photo's ?

  18. Hello bigmac In all my recent looking and trying out at gun shops the HW80k was recommended to me and a large part of me wanted to buy one but I was all wrapped up in underlevers so got the hw 77 but I know the hw80 would have been a good choice for me. originally designed in conjunction with Dr Robert Beeman as a Manum gun putting out 24ftlbs in .22, 1 3/8 diameter and almost 13 inches long giving a good swept volume and in 12ftlbs form is not working very hard so it was said that it would last and last. my next one will be a light hw but the one after that could well be an , I think more
  19. I like the HC look with moderator of the 95, I wonder if it's quieter than the 99 and 98 ?
  20. I got my Napier air rifle cleaning kit today so I thought I would give it a pull through in the kitchen and it is nice and clean and all rubbed down. I got a nice cleaning cloth as well it,s a bisley and seems to be good quality. By the way the kitchen stinks but the wife is out so I have left the door open in the hope that all will be well by the time she gets in LOL.
  21. Thanks guys I had a quick look and for a beach stock they seem to be half the price of a new rifle but I will keep looking.
  22. Hello guys Thanks for the feed back. I have had another quick look at the airgun world book and made a few notes :- Diana 54 airking 9.9 lbs, pro sport 9.5 lbs, tx200 9lbs, lgv master 9.23 lbs hw97 9lbs, hw77 8.8lbs, hw 8.4 lbs hw98 8.25 lbs and then there is the hw99 at 6.95 say 7lbs, The one that is standing out is the Hw 95 which costs more than the hw99 so you would think that extra cost must be in the build quality which can only be good. Can anyone tell me a bit more about the hw 95 ? I have a new hw77 that is ripe for a good tune up so the seems no point in getting a
  23. I think I need to try one out and a 95/80 99/98
  24. Hello bauble I think I would like the walther break barrel but the IMP is light and very pointable but will take ages and a lot of traveling to sort out. I am just trying to think it through. The Walther LGV master ultra in .22 was the one I had my eye on, not sure of it's price or where to get it from ? also not sure where it fits in the walther break barrel range. Is your rifle a heavy lump ? Get a standard 95k then! So is the hw95 a light weight hw ? but the same cost as an
