Neil. Do you know the orgins/ breeding of Cobra Asils?
-
It had to be his son that was in Mad Max.The one who went to ground wi dog in compound and could throw a stick or boomerang about. lol Top pic mate.
-
Then please tell what is right about Crufts and the KC .It has done nothing but promote the ruin of most breeds.Insulting and betraying there working heritage. They won't even allow an outcross into totally fecked up bloodlines.Upset it don't saddens it does. Can't respect any stockman who claims there ain't nothing wrong with Crufts KC and there counterparts in other livestock organizations .Oh well! same old bullshit gets written on here every year about cruffs. I've never owned a kc dog and never wil, I've done my bit. You still aint said what you feel is right about Crufts just that the

Her Fathers in Walshes lurchers and longdogs he used to like a lurcher about him by all accounts. Claire Balding is a sell out. With her racing background she knows better and should speak out rather than dancing to the tune n taking the pound. She knows the dance regarding working animals be it dogs, horses or whatever.

There was at least one dog in one of the groups yesterday that can do, has done and will be doing more of what she was bred to do. The handler has probably seen and done more than some on here One! And to what standard. Broken toe or bad wire scar would wrongly be ending that dogs show career so don't think that dog will be grafted over much. I feel like kicking the screen in watching Crufts.Pathetic exuses for dogs and more so handlers and breeders. How hunting can be banned and KC can be legally tolerated bewilders and astounds me.The road to ruin and a warning to all the lurcher and terrie

They are for nothing! Cracking buy for someone.

I don't know about Capt. Edwards but Jocelyn Lucas regularly wrote that he'd have anything up to 15 of his Sealyhams to ground on a badger at the same time. I read that too in Hunt and Working Terriers i think? Bet there was some sob stories n worse outcomes that weren't wrote of. Dog in first could never have quit! On a more serious note though it had to be a nightmare at times and there must have been some very unhappy endings.
-
How times have changed. Also noted the sign on the wall. Today you do the opposite not wanting anyone knowing where your kennels are at and what you are up to. Wonder how he came on stopping terriers going to ground? Bygone era wish id been there.

which terrier song Neil ? I reckon the Other Terrier Song is best .

Wagon driver told me there was some on old Siemens factory site not long since LPD. Those populations must be very isolated now with new blood not being able to get in yet they are still there. I had some great sport in that area many years ago coursing the very ancestors of those hares and I know Maximus Ferret did to! Seen some on telly in a grave yard somewhere that were very relaxed grazing in the daylight. Grand and versatile survivors. On a different note was told Blue Hares have been seen in Cheviots for first time for years off a very reliable source.

Gas works North Sheilds ,in industrial estate just up from Shields too. A lad told me and I know he was right that some were also on waste land 7 mile further up Tyne. He caught a couple and brought em to mine. They were in cracking fettle adult and looked oldish however they only weighed 4 to 5lb at best. Regarding rural hares ive seen em from the wettest places to cottage gardens. As Maximus Ferret says they love forestry its very surprising how many you see leaving when it is beaten or drawn with hounds more so in hard weather. I reckon they are a lot more versatile than most give them cre

All the better as far as she was concerned bears love fish. Sorry for being a poisonous twat but by she narked me. Forgot to add Jimmy was game n brave for getting in a boat with those two.
-
Think it was a pile of shit myself. staged and not really that interesting.Jimmy is numb and dumb fancy asking if she was gona fly her 8o odd ear old mother out their to see the place. I would have tied the woman up and hoped a grizzly would have her she was wearing the underpants that's for cert. Mind that dog was very nice.

R.I.P. Tara. It just goes to show being born with a silver spoon don 't always mean no problems in life. I think she was sexy as feck back in late 90s.As been said give a bit respect all close to her will be gutted their are plenty out there who I would like to have seen gone before her.
-
A lot of these lad s who go out mob handed aint got the arse or commitment to do it on there own. In recent years coursing boys should have kept a low profile.Doing it like they do they must know before they leave home there in for a shit load of grief.Rightly or wrongly that's the way its been for years now.If you were doing owt else illegal you would do your best to not get caught. The mobs do it different spread out all over the land in some cases driving, then film it then put on facebook, then get knicked n cry about it. Then get out the dogs after a season or two. t

On a let day when a keeper has to produce the goods a 100 birds can make all the difference. A lot more than 50 quid i know. If a coursing man was paying for his sport and hypotheticly speaking he was rearing 200 hares and joe c**t steals/poaches a 100 he would be soon shouting the place down.
-
You would have had to dig it with a terrier mate cause the that pack would never find one in a phone box let alone catch one !

When it comes to the fox there's no rule's!Sums it up totally.Think that is why they are so successful . From city to desert, fell to coast they thrive thank god! Back to -3.Seen some days in the harshest of weather where earths, rockpiles, cundys and the best sheltered places blank. Foxes all on top taking a pounding off weather! Or so it seems. It don't seem to hurt or bother them much. Theres no rules that's why hunting them with hounds used to be so much fun.Seems only like yesterday I heard them hounds in full cry. p.s might have been Wednesday.
-
As Neil said cold don't bother Charlie to much.Seen hounds find them on top in some of our coldest winters.Persistent wet seems to get them to ground more as said. Saying that seen them put up on the tops in the worst of weather .I think sometimes this time of year when you get 2 or 3 in it is the vixen getting out of the dogs way and they end up in with her.

there's a pair on eBay for 45 quid. How far about can you see with them? Edit to say there 10x42 ones am looking at Mine are 8x42 savanha ones.Use them daily. Have used these next to a bloke with a pair of Swarovski and he couldn't believe how good mine were.Bearing in mind he give 2400 quid for his.Mine get hammerd but have never been damaged. Can't fault mine and everyone who has used mine have been shocked at the price. You aint going to be to gutted if they get broke or lost at the price.
