    Good one Lutra.. Im sure you will get someone interested in this from here..there are some very good photographers, and people who know their stuff where cameras are concerned

    Good images there Martin.. Try the same place in the morning too, as these birds tend to stay in the same area for a decent period of time, and there will probably be more than one there, you will see it again Ive photographed hundreds of these, they, as with any owls are always great to see, and photograph..

    Ahhh Kenneth Cassels, remember him refusing to shake my hand when one of my dogs beat one of his (Raith i think) when on my way to a coursing final on blue hare...But, he did do a lot for the coursing side of the deerhounds. There were a few other deerhounds about then that also took red deer hinds single handed.. Stags???? not heard of one of these fellows being taken, especially not with one dog. If you had a dog running when Raith was about there's a good chance yours would've run against one of mine then. Riath was from Kenneth's 'I' litter (Sorisdale Macilraith). Bernard and Ire

    I got invited to a hare drive up here, 303 on the first day, and 306 on the second day..Never been a hare shooter, and had to borrow a gun to shoot them days An estate where I used to run my dogs on the blue hares, the keepers quota to shoot every year, was 700.. Queery old numbers....

    Nice one Got one close to me that thinks hes a horse..always find him in the same field as the horses, and have been able to get quite close to get images of him..

    Yeah they sailed over Baz,i love going to watch em,they are all wild & i take the Pom and can often sneak real close to them even with the little dog haha Great picture that, most of the stags that Ive seen being chased ploughed some fences down..

    The biggest red deer Ive seen was when hunting (shooting) them in the Argentine..

    Ive been trying to get Cecil B de Staff to sell it, and in the meanting, hes made another, which, is even better..loads of action,, Hoping hes going to sell it, as its honestly a good watch

    I would think it would be more difficult to maintain a line of lurchers, than to start one.. As already said, terrier men seemed to have done this for years..

    Saw a pure bred deerhound kill a hind...when on a private 8 dog stake blue hare coursing meeting in Scotland..she went away on it and it was ages before we found her, lying on top of the hind in a gully in teh water of the burn.

    I always LOVED lamping on my own..Ive always been a loner to a degree, with company is ok too thouugh..if you have the right person with you Been longnetting myself too, difficult, but when your mate cannot get out, its not going to stop me..

    Seen a small group here in Ashington before the Christmas, I was on my way to work and never had my camera.. A few guys taking pics as I passed..been nothing since. Its been a poor year for sighting this year..not like the sixties..
