  1. Yes they are good, good at end of season with mating calls when they don't come to a squeek. Holding lamp caller and dog on slip can be a pain. I tend to sit caller on the deck n just press play. Only plays 2 mins tho.
  2. I had one, lost it in a field. Will be getting another.
  3. My bitch done the same, done my head in so I bought an e-collar and trained her recall to a whistle using the e-collar during the day. Then had a go lamping with the collar on. She missed I whistled and to begin with she went to hunt up but quick buzz and she was on her way back. After a few runs it was lamp off, whistle wait 2 or 3 secs n quick flick of the lamp to make sure she was coming back. Now I just turn lamp off n she's back by myside. Worked for her/me. Think my other dog is feart of the dark tho. He's back before I know it when lamps off.
  4. Genuinely? I know of one that's just been rear ended. I can find out if it's going to salvage. It's in ayr just now as Barry devlins recovery.
  5. That's another neighbours cat. In a back garden across the road from mine. Let dogs out the back of my pickup n she shot off across the road. I got my big dog in the garden n never new where wee bitch was. Got him back in kennel as I never had a lead handy. Went back for her n she was in a bush raging it. Ffs I'm gonna have to put leads on them before they out the car.
  6. Glad I don't know who's cat it is/was, dread to think that it's some kids pet. To think it stayed away from my chickens and went into dogs run.
  7. It sits on my neighbours grass about dinner time n dogs go daft at it. Never hear them through the night tho. I was out in my boxxers checkin no one was about
  8. My dogs are usually quiet in there kennel, not last night. Bloody daft cat jumped down into there run, found it inside the kennel today.
  9. Can vouch for for rogue, seen both parents work. Should make a handy dog. My big dogs off the dam too from a previous mating. Puts me up when I travel down 16 hour round trip for weekend out on the lamp and Mrs makes a cracking fry up. ? top lad
  10. My bull x whippet used to do the same. I tried fit bits with no interest from her with them at all when off the lead so I ended up getting a shock collar. Used it correctly on a long line out on a walk. Shocked her with it at it minimum n she felt it but not much notice of it. Turned it up a bit til she came straight back to me then jst used it on vibrate after that for a month. Left the collar on her when we were lamping n never needed to use it. This was last season at 3yo, had her out last night an hour and tonight n she's started retrieving her catch too. So bide your time n always praise
  11. Nice dog him. I've a bull x whippet bitch, just lacks top end speed a bit too. Pups look like crackers aswell. Hope they do well for you too.
  12. Yeah forgot to mention the smell of it!. Gone off before it's packed .
  13. I changed where I get my feed from as they started supplying stuff from DAF. The mince is more like a paste if you are after something coarser.
  14. Red dog 18 month now. Just need to try find enough to put in front of him.
  15. I had the leupold manocular last year. Had it a week. Utter sh*t. Can't tell a rabbit until about 20 yards away. Fox about 50 yards. Further out it's too pixalated. Got to spend a lot to get a good one.
  16. Whats the categories in the show? Gonna bring my two, never showed them before
  17. my bull whippet was terrible on the lamp. done my head in! put an e-collar on her. trained her with it at minimum in a long line. took her lamping n gave her a whistle waited a second, turned shock up couple of notches n gave her quick buzz. now i give a whistle n shes back beside me as quick as she can.
