    My dog just got stiched over a joint on its rear leg and was 10 days before they could be removed.

    I use bells off th Lindt chocolate raindeer. They don't clog up as easily as others. :-)

    Seen 3 young come out a burrow on the 10th of jan and they looked couple of weeks old.

    Sounds like a good laugh and a couple of good bags, we are getting more does here and came across first young last weekend too. Must have been 2/3 weeks old as well.

    Would be good just to leave it for the dogs but we are in gorse and brambles mostly so dogs aint got a chance and dont want to put the dogs off. I was certain we would be into double figured today at them stables. mixi wiped the place! was good yesterday catching in my own nets for the first time! :-)

    so.... how long does it take most folks to make a purse net? made my first ine last night with a few mistakes along the way which was annoying. indoing them nots aint the easyest! took me 4 hours to make 1 net. The guys that make nets to sell on cant make much profit on them. the price they sell them out isnt that much more expensive than the materials. so thumbs up to them guys doing others a big favour really.

    +1 on that. ordered on tuesday n still no here. got rings from bridport as agouti were out of stock. ordered wednesday n they came this morning. had a free weekend to get some nets made aswell :-(

    got a dog but shes only 12 weeks old. will be next season before shes out helping. im lucky to get two rabbits in a day up here. not many about at all. I think i will get some long nets off nelson off here at somepoint. went n checked the size of the nets i have n they are 2 inch mesh so the extra 1/4 should hopefully help out aswell. he never bites really thats why i think its sore on him. hes a big softy . my jill never butes me either but shes had a hold of my poor pup through the mesh on her run a couple of times.

    this is my and there first season so its all new to me. dont have many rabbits here either so cant let any slip through the nets. just dont like him getting stuck as when i pull him out of the net i think it digs in to him as he hisses and tries to bite, its unlike him to try n bite.

    between two of them they get a hand full of dry food a day or if ive got any rabbits they get one of them in for 3 days n they never manage the full thing. is that too much? he does have a head like a bull and seems like everything is in proportion.

    its not the collar thats the problem is his big waist area, i dont mind if he pulls the nets down as i will just stick them back over. Its when he tries to go through n gets stuck half way and panicks and dives back down the burrow with the net pursed round him. Might just need to retire the big guy already then. cheers for the advice lads Gav

    Hi all, I am going to have a go at making my own nets, was wondering what would be the biggest mesh board that everyone would advise to use as my hob is a bit of a beast and doesn't fit through the spun poly nets i bought and the crapy bisley ones. Gav

    Hi all, I've been reading alot on this forum so thought i would join in on the fun. im on my first season of ferreting, jill kit is doing well i think. haha, my hob isn't so good though. hopefully he gets better with more outings. also just got a bull whippet pup last week. hopefully she will do well next season.
