Of the same ilk and a good shout, never really liked them, but could and can appreciate the visual appearance/ design. Back when car manufactures considered that "normal" people may appreciate something with a bit style and they were willing to create/produce them. These days it is back to us and them. They only produce nice cars for the wealthy, ordinary people seem to be happy buying their Postman Pat van inspired creations. FFS, no new 3 door hot hatches are now available apart from Minis, and tiny Toyota's.

33k miles, £12k screen price. I believe the lowest millage and highest priced for sale in the UK. No miles, and little money for such a work of art. Problem is, none compliant with our company car policy to get my car allowance regarding age and emissions. But as I have told them that they will only get another 2 years out of me max before I retire they may bend the rules.

They're not quick or good handling, not by today's standards anyway, and won't be going for the v6 as will be used as a daily runner. But don't need a fast car these days, just something nice to own rather than a soulless lump designed to get from A to B in the most fuel efficient way (contradicted myself there, but the v6 would be just silly)

Gents, does anyone own one of these or has owned? Always wanted one and came close to buying twice when they were still in production but bottled it both times due to concerns over reported Alfa build quality and reliability issues. Went for a Mazda RX8 and then Audi TT instead. All hairdresser's cars of course, usually said by people who seemed happy driving Ford Mondeos or Vauxhall Insignia's, each to their own. Due for a car change but there's nothing that takes my eye. We may have the most efficient and practical cars now but from an aesthetic point of view in my opinion car design is

A hundred years from now, it will be 1547 not 2126 the way things are going.

Once a Catholic always a Catholic? I haven't set a foot in church for over 40 years other than weddings, Christenings and funerals. In the last few years I have been present most Saturdays when a lovely young woman visits to give the Sacrament of Holy Communion to my parents. A strange thing to see. They are in the here and now for the duration, almost. Then gone again. Back into the madness. Possibly the recognisable words of the prayers triggers memories of happier times? Probably. But nice.

I cannot stand "Fletch" on TNT Sports live games. How does he get away with it? Your trying to watch the game and he is trying to entertain you with irrelevant facts, the football is my entertainment so shut the f**k up and commentate on what is happening on the pitch! It could almost drive an honest man to watch the overseas channels. Recent games involving Newcastle with him and his great mate "Ciosty" the Smashy and Nicey of football, he has confused Joe Willock with Anthony Elanga, Jacob Ramsey with Jacob Murphy several times. The stamp out racism people should be on his case but he a

Another Eddie Howe stroke of genius? Gordon playing centre has had a Craig Bellamy look to him in last few games.

Not a film but Small Prophets on BBC, well worth a watch if you want a break from the doom and gloom. I put it on in the care home and everyone loved the old classic re-cycled Brazil nut joke. Mackenzie Crook is carrying on with great British writing/acting.

Well said. 7 English players started for Newcastle United last night in a Champions League game. An 18 year old local lad came on and nearly scored on his senior debut. "Sports washing", I do not know, just loving it. The Devil may take my soul.

It makes you laugh at times does it not in situations when a potential antagonist who may want to cause you harm is trying to compute as to what or who you are. It's easier for the blacks, they know they're fecked on sight. (back in the day of course)

... and everything they tried so hard to kill, we will re-build...

Tim Healy yes. There was a sketch with him as Dennis and Christopher Fairbank as Moxy doing the repairs on Tyne Bridge Brenda turned up with Nev's packed lunch and he appeared on video phone explaining why he wasn't at graft. Good stuff. No Jimmy Nail, my brother in-law went to his 1 man show recently but heard he's not in the best of health at present. Lewis Capaldi closed the show.

Sunday for Sammy, just a Newcastle thing but nice to celebrate local culture and performers who do it FOC.

I agree but they we not officiating at the highest level, it was only a FA Cup game that just happened to involve 2 EPL clubs and was shown live on BBC1 with millions watching. Could they have been so incompetent or was it a ploy to affirm the importance of VAR? I makes you think, but I believe it was really, really shit officiating from people who are not fit for purpose, and even if VAR had been in place, the same calibre of incompetent people would have been involved. Newcastle won, not bothered.
-
Appalling officiating, Jesus Christ, Villa's goal offside and a free kick given for a foul a yard inside the 18 yard box. I am not one for conspiracy theories but the FA must have tried to teach us all a lesson? Lesson not learned, a good free flowing game, all goals celebrated without the doubt of checks, and Newcastle won. Happy days!

Cool people, party animals," Anarchists", non-conformists, people who danced to their own drum and lived life to the full... who now find themselves in their 60's without a pot to piss in and expect others to help them out.

Local lads/English? Managers and "back room staff" are fecked. The are either given players in situations that they may have no choice, or scout their own and have to justify it. Transfer fees and wages must be justified or you are not doing your job, and are sacked. Giving an under 21 a start in an EPL game and you lose the game? Stick with him and you lose another game... not only the owners but often the supporters want the manager's blood. Stability within the club is the only way it can work. Have a competent manager, have owners who understand the game and trust the people that the

That's a shame but sure she was given the opportunity to live life to the full and had a quality of life that most dogs do not get. RIP Brenn.

Reminded of when I was briefly in the Cubs. An older cousin had moved up into the Scouts and he gave me his green jumper covered in merit badges. I ignored advice to remove the stitched on badges and turned up wearing it. The Akela took me to one side and explained why the merit badges must be removed. Fair enough but I didn't like his attitude. Turned up the following week still wearing the badges and that was the end of my time in Cubs.

Can't say I'm impressed with certain vocal sections of Newcastle "supporters" recently. The last 5 years have been living in dream land. Signing good players, existing players improving massively, qualifying for Champions League twice and giving a good account of ourselves both times (still in it this season), and the icing on the cake winning a cup. Fans, players, manager and owners in harmony. Now reality has kicked in in what was always going to be a long term project. Now we get some "supporters" throwing their toys out of the pram because we are on a bad run. Pathetic!

Going off on a tangent here, there was massive interest in supposed working Bedlingtons amongst certain types in late '80's/early '90's. A wall eyed merle collie cross lurcher completed the look. Add a flat cap, Barbour jacket and Hunter wellies and you were in the club. Most that I seen were standard KC show and pet stuff with different haircuts. All Gutchcommon/Rillington of course but the pedigrees I seen, no they were not. A lad who lived close to me had a "breeding pair". The dog was approx 19" TTS. Despite his height and racy build was slower in a foot race than my conventionally si

You would struggle to find a human being in Bedlington working now.
