Just the newbie again so if a line is kept for 30+ years how.many times would new.blood be needed to stop deformations happening in pups because I can't amagine such a line is only bred from every 10 years there for wouldn't such a line be far removed from said famous God dog that it was Bearley related I'm probably wrong just trying to fathom out how it's done

Just a question from a newbie so all get in line to shoot me down why are so many people so hung up on a dog of unknown origin from way back when surly there are blokes out there that have had real good dogs also but not had opertunity or name to get the dog to the forefront of the terrier world
  5. Any good stockman should be able to judge proportions of food needed to keep his stock in working condition when I kept lurchers I'd feed small amount in the morning and a good feed up after work just like my self work em hard feed em well cooked or raw imo doesn't mater

Haven't had much to do with bull x so I can't comment on those only seen one on fox he did well as I imagine most of them do the best of seen on fox was a smooth coat bridle second gen first x deerhound grey called tess never took stick and she finished with vigour she'd shake em like a terrier with a rat nice strong bitch stood around 27 28 tts
  8. I've always had a Russell my whole life got me first own dog at 10 got one now but I don't kid me self he ain't no digging dog good busher I'll always keep a Russell working or not

  11. not wanting to argue but according to sum on here if you buy a nuttall from Mr nuttall you may not get a nuttall all this is theoretical just a line of thought I was having

  13. Right lads as some of you on here are aware I don't have a vast knowledge of working terriers what would the main difference be between say nuttall and Stevens if you prefer one over the other why

  15. Me and a mate used to do ferals on some water orthority land his dog got well clawed up by a big old ginger Tom ruined the dogs eye sight in one eye steer clear mate edited to say was a lurcher not terrier

  17. I had a first x saluki grey had him from.a pup didn't do anything different with him training wise than I have done with any lurcher and right from that magical first rabbit he ate everything he could catch he went for a long walk in the Orchard
  18. Nice dog mate he looks fine if ya what weight on him like has just been said fatty lamb is good
  19. Don't know if it's just me but I've never seem poor feet on a bull x some might have though
