Ferreting Dogs... Whats The Best Type / Cross ? Size ?
Truther replied to a topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Its a bitch mate, only about 18 months in the bottom pic, bit more meat on her now. 100% focused when working, full of stamina, really smart/quick learner.......her only real fault is being a bit nervous working round other dogs (except my lurcher) but i hunt alone most of the time. All things considered im very happy with how she turned out. The spaniel dam was bred by an old mate of yours, top stuff -

Whippet x spaniel Bushes, marks, catches, obedient, hard to pick fault really -
I had a terrier that chewed everything, external corners of skirting were his favourite, i bought some of that stuff women paint on their nails to stop chewing them, tastes awful, can't get rid of the taste from your mouth, just dabbed it on any likely target and it worked a treat, stopped him in his tracks, i think once they've had a taste of it, the smells enough to put em off?

Problem is mate, they pick the jurors, even if any of this gets to court the jury would be fixed, reporting restrictions slapped on it, and Bobs your uncle........not guilty

Classic "trickle down theory" and people swallow it, and its not working, its a major failure. https://politicaldispatch.wordpress.com/tag/trickle-down-theory/

A mate uses looped 1745's and .44 (about 11mm) for hunting, does pretty good with it, you could probably push it nearer a 12mm ball no problem, .457 (11.6mm) maybe? You wont go far wrong somewhere between 11 and 12mm

Get them all out and starting again would be better, all the same, its just a scam.
-
Why?, i expect my terriers to be vocal above and below, the more vocal they are the better they get the job done,id not breed from a terrier without those attributes.Explain?. I'm not talking about them being vocal, i mean your double standards, telling a fella who's perfectly happy with his terriers to shoot them, and you re home your own failures, maybe with a view to breeding form it at some point? Here's another one of your gems "Ill guarantee that input of yours as "NO FOUNDATION" borne from experience.Ive owned countless bushers over the years and i cannot think of any t

"The majority of Bedlingtons ive worked have been far from mute, noisy feckers, above and below, plus ive rarely owned one with a jacket worth mentioning, something Bedlingtons are renowned for.I owned a dog a couple of years ago that would not rein in,hit a scent and tally-ho,then many hours to locate the ignorant twat,he,s now a pet,the vast majority of the ones ive bred and grafted are perfectly biddable and rarely get lost on their bushing forays" I take it you couldn't find your gun that time then Morton Useless f****r might find its way into the bloodlines now? You're all o

What elastic are you using mate?

I think Martin Clunes plays a good part, miserable fooker with a dry sense of humour, i can watch it, not a big fan of telly though.

I don't think its socialists Wilf, i think its the real robbers using different political ideas to push their agenda's, we get caught up in left/right, but in reality they control all sides, its a scam mate imo. The EU's a brilliant excuse generator, i bet every EU countries governments blame everything they can on it, how many times have we heard "its not our fault, its the EU regulations/policy we signed up to" "we" meaning the country as a whole, when the fact is all our governments right and left have taken those decisions without our consent. Like you rightly pointed out we voted on

Vote how you like, we're staying in, 100% rigged. Out for me, but i'm not holding my breath.

Wonder who her and her family are voting for next time?

I think she having a hormone change from everything you've said mate, the going off the boil, and even messing about a bit with the rat, nothing to worry about if it is, mine does it, and it can happen well before she actually comes in season. She is due in season shorlty, i remember before her last season she started acting a little strange while out bushing such as she would bolt rabbits from cover but not track them which was something she was doing fairly well before then in fact that is how she managed a to catch sometime's by being relenlesss. atb. My bitch has had 3 seasons

It should be pretty obvious to the left that labours immigration policy and pro European stance has cost them this election, even when people know there's more/worse hardship on the way from the tories, it wont change in 5 years time either, if labour refuse to wake up to how the majority of people really feel about immigration they'll never win again, only problem with that is they rely on the immigrant vote, so completely f****d either way? Its one thing sticking to your political agenda, its another when your people don't agree with it.......you f***ing lose......badly

I would never figure it all out tbh, brilliant bit of design though.

I ended up voting, and spoiling one with the 3 choices above on it.

Dankung.com mate, they sell direct, it just takes a few weeks to come from China, works out at about 50p a meter when you buy 10m. A mate gets mine, im crap at that sort of thing, so ask in the catty section on here and they'll know the ins and outs.

I grew up on the Milbro frame, never had anything else, shoot it the way it was designed using my thumb, but i cast my own stronger/shorter forked version in aluminium, its unbreakable really, you can only lose it, the originals can break with a good fork hit, or trying to straighten them after a good fork hit, if i have a hit on my original i warm it up before straightening it. I cant get the old original 1/4" black we used to use years back, which is nearer 5mm square than 6mm, i rate the neo square 6mm as user friendly, but i used the 7mm Red Kite brand neo for ages, only problem is its "

I just use a Milbro mate, soft square elastic, or single 4070 tube, mostly the tube these days, i don't think it matters what you use if you get on with it, and it does the job. Ok mate.....I've been messing about with a catty for a year or so now & I got a terrier knocking about here as well, so who knows...maybe I'll give it a go one day :-). You sound like an 'old hand' at that game, so I'm interested in any trade secrets....;-) A reliable set up that you shoot well with, for me that's enough power to kill cleanly/smash through brambles/twigs, you'll be doing a lot of hedge tr

I'd rather do quality work at a steadier pace, the standards have just gone down the shitter now, but even a has been like me could make a decent job at those prices, and be happy with the wages.
