From the angle of that picture it almost looks like a pointer type. I wonder what the Brittany spaniel could bring into the mix,because a mate of mine liked them over the other spaniels because of their natural pointing and holding the mark abilities for working with the Birds of Prey etc etc.. I know the good old springer is the obvious choice,but in all my years Ive yet to see a laid back springer. . . Iv'e got a spaniel x whippet, more or less, the sire had 1/4 beddy. She's a bushing/hunting dog, i wouldn't call her a lurcher, only 16" tts, but she does catch fairly regular round cover. Bred on purpose and carefully, using well tested stock. She's turned out exactly how i expected, and a very handy dog, drive and stamina to burn, good nose, real brains, obedient. The only real fault i can pick is her being a bit nervous round other dogs, she wasn't as a pup, and i think she'd soon come round if i worked her with other dogs a bit more. I had that problem when they got used to a routine, i do the same as you now mate and keep them guessing at times, and miss random days.

Saw it on the news yesterday early on, the police spokesman's exact words were " we have arrested 7 WHITE men in early morning raids" Not a f***ing word said about it? imagine if it was the brothers and he said "arrested 7 black men" This country's f****d up beyond any hope. Shame they got caught........biggest criminals would probably be the vault holders, or some of them anyway.

Been considering this as a lowland ferreting choice my self next time round , She would be a useful dog on high ground i reckon mate, but lacking enough speed if you wanted her to catch bolter's regularly, thinking about putting a 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy over her when i want a pup, should be handy little dogs Madgwick has a truly superb dog of that breeding... Very nice type Phil, and very similar to the sire, who was also 1/4 beddy, owned by a mate, well proven dog, i can go back 30+ years on both sides of the breeding, no mistakes here mate designer mongrel, -

He's alright mate, bumped into him earlier down the woods, he bred a litter just to give my boy a pup, dam of this bitch, top bloke.
