Personally I enjoy going out with my .22 rimmy , a good calibre to either build you experience on and to keep as a good all round bunnie rifle . I however do not hold with the long range shots , good luck if you are confident enough too , but part of the fun for me is the stalk ,(If you can stalk bunnies). The vast majority of my shooting is 80yrds and less.

Ouch no , fair comment , but I do spend time on every new trap tweaking it to try and avoid this . For now i'm sticking with my humane trapping methods used phrase.

I thought using the word humane would put peoples mind at ease , I guess you always get one crazy who looks for a meaning that suits them though , I think she thought I would catch them alive and release them in some wooded glade where it was always summer time and all animals co-existed as vegitarians , oh what have I said now , there's nothing wrong with vegitarians , I like lettuce in my BLT.

I advertise as using traditional , humane mole trapping . I only use duffus/tunnel traps and talpex traps. however a lovely lady , I think she lives in Disney world, ( no not really, but),told me today that my traps are not humane as they kill the moles and therefore my advertising is wrong. I tried to explain to her that humane trapping means they do not suffer anymore than is necessary , but she would not have it. I'm sure i'm right , but she has got inside my head and now i'm doubting myself, or am I . What does humane trapping mean to you.

thanks , I've asked the question cause i'm of the buy once , not keep buying stuff for spare parts , ie part breaks so keep the bits that still work they'll come in handy one day, won't they?

Just about to order a light and have found this,,,,,Tracer Ledray 100-red , 1"&30mm scope mounts with torch mount , remote mounted switch , batteries . Its 180 lumens,185mtr beam distance. All for £49.99. Worth it or a waste of £50??

keep mine in a converted chicken coup and 8' run attached , plus get them all out every day to have a play in a bigger run. Clean out their litter tray every day , plus remains of any food , then fresh water and food . Tried allsorts of disenfectants , but for along while have used white vinegar and water mixed in a spray bottle,daily . once weekly completey remove everything , bedding etc and hose and scrub out coup/hutch and run. Maybe over the top , but they deserve it.

saw plenty on the stubbles yesterday , but was after bunnies with the rifle , so will have to hope the woodies are still there next weekend , unless I force myself to have a day off sooner.

all my rough shooting , ferretting, and rimmie/rabbit shooting is with your everyday shooting dog a rescue ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, staffie x dalmation , yes you read it right and he's great , if your dog works for you love them and the and your trip out.

there must be a ferret re-homing centre or ferret club near you that does similar. Always best to try and give one a fresh start. I usually have 6 , but have just lost a dear friend. all mine come from cambs ferret rescue and welfare society.

Just the reason I've placed the outcome on here incase someone , god forbid , has the same problem. The cancer must of just grown so quickly , he literally went down hill within 24- 48 hrs max.

yes an update would be interesting , I must say I had booked a level2 course , but have now carried on with my regular self-employed work instead of taking the plunge , I've cancelled my place on the course. . I did however go on a mole control course as my market research showed this is what the majority of people in my area where after,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and it has really taken off. unsure as to whether this will pay all my bills ,but for now it's great without all the extra hassle of starting up completely in a new career with a piece of paper and NO experience.
