Absolutely mate! Some wealthy folk down there without a doubt. Obviously as well these are just private collections kept behind closed doors not included public Zoo's and wildlife parks etc.

I find this interesting. A list of dangerous animals in private collections up and down GB. Lots of different types of cats listed. Apparently a load of deadly snakes just down the road from me! Click on a county.. Dangerous Wild Animals Map WWW.BORNFREE.ORG.UK Are there dangerous wild animals living near you? Check our map to find out!

I don't want to drag this into the gutter. Going abroad is great and has perks! Can't remember exactly where.. Tunisia maybe. Went with the in-laws. Had breakfast and after down by the pool settled. Needed a sh!t.. so went back to our room rather than use the pool toilet. Anyway.. turns out the room maid will suck you dry for a quid! I had the sh!ts for the next 8 days on the trot! Wife was like.. you got to go again?!! Afraid so!! Ha..

Ahh.. excellent that mate!! I actually remember once they got us as young uns and the keepers had us in the back of their Landy.. they actually said they'd had a lot of trouble from the south Yorkshire lads coming down and running the land at night.. lol.. I was probably only 13 at the time. Took a clip around the tab. I didn't even tell dad mate.. would have been a blood bath that didn't need to happen!l lol..

Excellent that mate! Yep, I remember Bettsy very well. We must have been little b@stards to him. A f**king pain in the arse that he didn't need! Lol.. I could literally jump over the garden fence and be on Welbeck land. Too much to mention here. We were only young teenagers at the time. He's took guns off us.. had feds out with him when they've collared us.. been called out to us saying that we were badger baiting when we were just ratting.. he had plenty of back up with him then. Me and my mate walked it to Clumber and back one day.( and right around the lake) Got a slip on a Hare at Holbeck

Yes mate.. the lense makes all the difference and they do hold their prices well unlike the camera bodies that drop in price as they're upgraded and new tech come out!
-
Cheers matey. I got loads buried away on dead laptops and cd's. I sold up years ago on the camera front mate but those pics were took with a Canon 7d and a 70-200 2.8 lense with stabilisation. Camera was £1040. Lense about £1300. I lot of moneys worth to be carting about on hot land. Same camera be a fraction of that now mate!

100% agree on that mate! My day sounds the opposite ( Sort of ) from yours. I started work at 5 am and will be in the gym later!! 5 k is a nice shift in the treadmill!! -
Cheers mate! Definitely a lot to offer in a lurcher. I enjoyed having mine. I bumped into a fella in Scotland with a belter. Could see straight away it was a GWP cross. A dog, good 27" with a nice broken coat on it. He said there's was only a small packet of people breeding these.. just for fox. Got his from some lad's in the Lakes. Definitely looked the part for sure!!

Strava and Garmin ( connect ) mate. Nice to log it on strava just to have it for future reference if you ever need to look back at your route for example. I wear a Garmin forerunner 955 solar virtually all the time other that when I'm at work. Tracks more things than I'll ever be bothered about but it good for keeping an eye on you heart rate and also tells you your VO2 max which I found interesting and a bit motivating when I'm running or cycling. Not doing much of either of those at the moment!! Lol.. -
Hoovering that scent up!! Got one on the move.. Get the slip.. The G.S.P could actually gallop a bit to be fair but had a bigger turning circle than Harry Maguire! Up in the Lakes out with the Blencathera.

Bloody grand that is! I've never stayed anywhere like that! If I was in that situation I'd be dropping a Viaggy in approximately one hour! Lol...

I used to run this pair together. partners in crime lol. They soon worked things out. GSP here. Handy for sending into plantations whilst you wait on the other side for a bolt or sending out quartering into big fields and if you know the land well you'll know which way the hares will run and get in a decent spot for a slip, as in the bottom pic. Pointer is out of shot there just to the right. She layed a lot of game on for the lurcher over the year's. I wouldn't mind a lurcher with a good dose of pointer blood at some point!

Oh yes mate.. no expenses spared here!! Lol!! F@@k me TOMO it's 20 odd years ago.. I can't remember what I did this morning! But yes.. we gave her exactly what she wanted. We would have called in at the Town Mill as that was on the circuit back then. Same for the Swan.. it's still a go to today. I do actually remember us going I'm a pub on Regent Street with her.. I can't remember the name. She (Mel) was gob smacked in there as some local wench was twerking with next to fak all on onto of podium thing! Not had a sup down town for a while now!

Cracking reading this mate, really appreciate you taking the time to put the posts and pics up. Where does Boots get his coat from? Looks like there's more to it than a bit of feathering from the Sal bood going back. Belters mate.. all of them!.

We've got family on my mum's side over there too mate. I don't know exactly where but they say Durban. Their nearest bar is a 2 and a half hour drive away in a hotel. I remember my mum's cousin coming over here over 20 years ago. She would have been in her mid 40's then. She had a wish list on the pub side of things whilst over here where a night in a village welfare, so we took her to the Stute at Langwith. A country pub, the Greendale at Cuckney ticked that box. And a night out in a town, so obviously we pulled all the stops out and took her down Mansfield!! Lol!! She'd never seen anything

Back out on Kinder scout again last night. Had company this time and it was first time out for a lad that I work with. It's an absolute killer of a walk up from Edale upto Grindslow Knoll.. especially with big pack on!! Really steep going up but once your on top it stays pretty flat. Good night. No drama's. Didn't really take any pics either! The elevation graph! My heart rate went bezerkers going up!! It's a good little work out though to be truthful and feels like you've earned your snap and a can or three once your set up. Hitting the lake district h -
Sorry to hear that mate, such a shame to lose loved ones like that. Like Wilf said.. smoking was no big deal back then. My mum smoked despite numerous attempts to pack it in. It wasn't that that took her at 66 though. That's another topic. I remember being a young kid and I overheard my dad saying my mum "Ann.. I wish you'd stop smoking" and her reply was "Trev.. I wish you'd stop f@@king breathing"!! Lol.. she was a firy little thing!! Crazy how things stick in your mind. That was probably about 35 year ago!!

My old man threatened me when I was about 10 Yr old. I still remember it now.. we were in the car chatting about adult stuff and he said " I don't mind to fighting and drinking, but don't ever, ever let me catch you smoking!" and I've never touched one to this day! Only decent bit of advice he ever gave me!! Lol..
