  1. I pay 40p per lb for raw tripe and I think it's 60p per lb for minced chicken, beef, liver etc Like I've said above I use Halls in Sunderland, bonus is that sell in 1lb blocks so can mix as much or as little as you like...
  2. The only good experience for a young dog is to catch a rabbit quick and go home,Anything else is a bad experience the way i see it. Yes, I agree it would've been ideal for both dogs to have caught a squatter or nice easy myxie rabbit each but it's 1st night, hardly going to shatter confidence and shame it didn't end on a high but as Gafer admits himself he was too kean and eager to slip the pup, lesson learned for next time, although I'm sure he has plenty experience and will bring them pups on just fine.. Just my opinion mate.

  4. All good experience for the young pups mate and at that age and as you know you've got years ahead of you to look forward to them learning their job and filling the game bag for you, I'm sure you'll have some cracking nights with them 2, they look the business fella

  10. Ah cool, would the brick wall be ok for the back of the living/sleeping area or would I need to use a sheet of wood at back for insulation kinda thing ???
  11. Cheers for advice lads... Would something similar to this accommodate 2 ferrets for sleeping and playing without the need for anything other than ladders/pipes etc ??? 6' long x 2 1/2' deep x 3 1/2' high I only have a yard and no garden so concrete base, I was planning on using our wall as the back and one end then making front of court with wood frame and wire then making living/sleeping area with wood including the back or will the brick wall be ok as the back of the living/sleeping area ??? Basically I have and L shaped brick wall where I want to build it all and make as easy and

  13. I'm sure the ferret is already broke to dogs mate so 1/2 way there, just need to break my dog to the ferret :/ Would a 4ft hutch with 2 tiers be suitable for 2 ferrets ???
  14. I recognise 4 of them dogs and know the they mean the absolute world to the lad that owns them, he puts all his time and effort into them and he be out most night and day during season...
  15. Please go easy on me people... I've been offered a working ferret from a kind member on here and im just wanting some advice before i jump into the deep end, i would like to know whether they are best kept single or in pairs ??? Also, i will be keeping outside but any advice on size of hutch and whether 1 or 2 tier would be best ??? I'm hoping to get them out working and bolting to my whippet once a week or maybe 2 when possible...   17. Yes mate, MC is a cracking fella and has offered to take me out regular when I can so buzzing to get the dog some work and I thank him for his generous offer... I must not forget about yourself Sean, and BigMac being decent lads and taking me under your wings and teaching me how to hunt with a rifle, I also have to thank you both very much...   24. Best to freeze the rabbit for about 3 weeks to kills all parasites/worms etc and then defrost and feed to dog mate - always best to be in safe side
