  1. Pup in training working on recall and retreiving, he's just turned 7 months and coming on well and a bit of a poser too

Thanks for comments and feedback, think I'm just gonna stick with mackerel/sardine in oil and one raw egg a week is good shout, planning on taking trip to Durham animal feeds as I was going to try and mix diet up a little too, was thinking of adding some offal chunks, heart and minced beef to the menu... (Will still feed tripe, chicken, veg, fish, dry kibble etc) but different meat/food on different days/times Any thoughts or advice on the above diet/foods would be welcome...
  3. Have got 7 month whippet pup (Harley), he is fed on mix of about 35% complete with tripe/minced chicken carcasses, veg... He gets a tin of mackerel or sardines in sunflower oil once a week... Was wondering if anyone adds any oils or supplements to diet to help as precaution in older years with joints and also to help skin and coat or any advice ??? Here's some pics of pup
  4. Gin - do you know of any whippet coursing events in NE ??? I'm very new to all this, hoping to start my whippet working rabbits next season so be good to meet some like minded people in Northumberland area for some advice/experience/help...

  7. Found this really interesting, being a complete newbie to all this, the article so informative and makes sense, the likes of warming up before exercise, something I would've easily overlooked/thought about... I think I'm going to have to invest in this book...
  8. Hi all, just wanted to say hello to everyone, i'm a total newbie to this game, got a 5 month old whippet pup called Harley... Intention was to have him solely as a pet but when watching him whilst out on walks/in fields running, the more i would like to start him working for rabbits... At the moment if i let him off in a field he can have a good run around and enjoy himself and when shouted or whistle blown he will come back to me... Once he see's a bird sitting and its caught his eye, then he is off until flight is taken then he's back to enjoying his freedom.. Any advice on
