  1. Ideally you're best of searching google, yell and Thomas local for your local and see what they're selling. If you're "looking to support locally" you're actually better off buying second hand rather than new, so your rifle list could be dependant on availability, calibre and over all condition. Other bits like pellets, scopes and general accessories help them out too but can cost more than online stores etc. If it was down to me, this is a competitive market and for the consumer/customer, sometimes you're best off buying the rifle you want and pop to your local for other needs. 2. Well, because you asked so nicely....I do get a go with your wife first right? haha Did he not mention that this is a shared permission? I think this is a great write up Remy. This could do with being neatened up a little, worded a little more professionally and pinned to the Intros by a Mod. Well done pal. White

  17. Personally, AA Hunter but I do use RWS pellets mostly. my rifles love them! Either way, AA pellets are really well made and good at what they do, however a little more of a price tag. White
  18. Aye, sometimes your best aiming for the engine room rather than the cockpit... As they say Depending at your range, I'd be rather conscious of your pellet placement as you may only clip the wing, break it and leave it wounded and to suffer if you're unable to give it a follow up shot- not cool! I'd always go for a one shot kill, no harm in follow up shots if it meant a swift kill but it's about understanding your rifle, pellets, range and quarry. They can all vary. White
  19. Personally, assuming this is your first air rifle..... Get a springer. You can get decent gas ram rifles now, so recoil isn't too much to worry about and not having to worry how long you've cocked it for. you'll have to consider a divers tank on top of the PCP rifle too, extra cost and more to carry with you. 20. You shot great pal, well done! You will have mixed emotions because you're not used to hunting yet, you're still seeing these animals for innocent, living beings. Even if you are spending thousands of pellets on paper targets with pictures on or plinking targets with holes to shoot through, they're completely different things in practicality. It'll soon become second nature and the more you read on here, YouTube and magazines about what these pest animals do and cost us humans in damage: be that crops, livestock, land or property. You'll see the justification and what little monsters t
