  1. +1 To this. Cci subs are poor. Ive had generally good experiences with eley subs though.
  2. Hi, its been a while. In that time I have got a new hawke rimfire scope, I have also got some CCI 40 gr mini mags. I wish I had pics gents the combination is phenominal. Yes, Im sure some will say Its cheating, but in my eyes anything which makes you more efficient and accurate is great. Better clean and humane kills. I shot sub 1 inch grouping at 100yards and opened up to 1 1/2 inches at 150 yards. I wouldnt shoot anything routinely at this range though. Anyway great round, really good scope.
  3. Im pretty certain it was the moderator. I put an old one back on and all seems fine. Superb groups at 50, 100 opening up to 1.5 inches at 150 yards using CCI mini mags.
  4. All the above steps have been followed. I went out today, and easily 1" grouping all the way out to 125 yards, Using cci mini mags and eley subs. Thanks for your help advice and experience.
  5. Gents after the longest school holiday in history.... or so it seems. I have cleaned changed scope changed moderator and then checked again. All is good, accuracy bang on. Thanks for the advice gents I must admit I didnt float the barrel it never was free floating.
  6. Gents sorry I havent replied. Started a new job and its the curse of school holidays!! Every day off seems to be taken up entertainer my 4 and 7 yr old. Ive cleaned it check the scope, mount and rings. The barrel has never been free floated so I doubt that a problem? Changed mod too. Finger crossed when I finally get out it should all be sorted!
  7. I agree with bunny blatters comments generally. However, with the wealth of experience here it seems a shame not to listen to a few possible suggestions. Maybe Im very cynical but an RFD wants to make a sale. For what its worth in my opinion an Air Arms S200 would be a great little gun. Yes Im basing that on my experience. Yes I own a mark 2. However, with a ten shot conversion and the fact that it is relatively small and light. It is easy to handle and for the price it is very accurate. It would make a great hunting rifle in .22 you could possible use it for target shooting too.
  8. No I have not tried it. I'm relatively new to hunting. Have done a lot of shooting in 9mm and 5.56mm. 22lr is more fun in some ways trying to push the limits of my skill. I'm gonna deep clean my rifle, and check scope and mounts. Hopefully grouping will come back. Its easier when its a human error rather than the rifle.
  9. Gents thanks for all the advice. I will try all of it. I was head shooting woodies at seventy yards a couple of weeks ago! I'll update when I've done all of the above. Cheers.
  10. Any losses of accuracy?? I went out today and had a bad day. Two inch groups at 60 yards, previously I have been shooting 1" groups at 90??!
  11. I have a Brno mod2 22lr. She is a beaut and until recently she was shooting 1" groups at 90 yards. However today at 60 yards groupings have opened up to 2". I am shooting same ammunition type eley subs. I'm mystified, I have cleaned it since loss of accuracy and put 20 rounds through it but still no improvement. Is it me having a bad day???
  12. Yes absolutely I thought my mod was knackered. These are a new batch the older ones are quieter! I haven't got a chrono but it would be very interesting.
  13. Good shooting I must admit I have never succeeded in stalking a crow!
  14. Ive got three mods Im getting rid of one of them is definitely suitable. If you want Pm me and Ill send you some pictures. Ta.
