Think you have got your answer,keep a dog in kennels so you are in control of exercise,food,etc,never think they won't wonder they are all extremely curious ,the most important thing is never give up ,we have all been there ,if it don't work out go get another, keep hunting hope your luck changes

I think you are on the wrong line sir,in general bitches mature much faster than dogs both mentally and physically and seem to be more consistent ,some collie x unfortunately have that nervous streak just seems part of their make up ,no decent bull x I have seen displayed these traits ,quite the opposite ,they have had to been held back.the only advise I could give would be to bring her around busy car parks,towns etc,remember always choose carefully, very best of luck!

The best earth dog I have seen was one of them bow legged yolks with the turned out paws ,no earth was too big and he never failed always made it look easy ,unfortunately he never threw anything ,a one off ,but he set the standard that very few have failed to reach.Love to see the Russell's best of luck!

Don't know this lad but he surely isn't going to make a fortune out of the day,if you are worried about your fiver just go to the local after i,m sure the chap would buy you a pint that's what used to happen ,if not then you know what he is about but have to say he should have some decency and answer your questions!

I have never bred a decent working terrier, truth is I have only ever had 1 bitch that I thought had the working ability and breeding to take a litter from ,2 litters later and a lot of time and energy ended in nothing.Luckly I had a few friends to keep the thing going ,all of my dogs have been gifted. Like the look of the Russell types had a lot of fun with those when I was a chap .best of luck!

Have to say this man has a trait seldom seen in the dog world "honesty",but I have always believed that any rubbish should work a fox ,to have a dog walk off a fox is the ultimate insult to any breeder ,to breed off one is just ludicrous and an insult to the meaning of terrier . This is just my belief ,but there are always different circumstances,each to there own

Don't see why anyone would put any terrier x into working whippet unless you want to slow them down,just looked up the term "pocket rocket" seems these were a big money spinner for lads ,just goes to show some big names can throw glitter on shit and sell it

From what I have seen I would say there are 3 main reasons , a fella starting out manages to get his hands on a well bred bull or wheaten x through some acquaintance and after it first kill is actually afraid of it can't handle it.Decent dogs often gifted to like minded men to trial before breeding off and then of course the messers who are only in it for shillings. Just my opinion

Great to see so many honest posts ,can't understand why you would chance one off this dealer when the best pups I have seen have been reared in back yards where they have been well socialised to the point of torture by children and women nursing them as to speak most of these have been bread for own use so a lot of time would be put in watching for certain traits,have to agree about nervy greyhounds but surely no one takes pups from these .All the best

Dont think wheaten cross would be practical as the ones I have seen want to kill everything and would be near impossible to get a service from a decent one and no such thing as a working glen, why do people not stick to what works

There does seem to be a lot of clowns on here bitching let's have no personal insults please it just lowers the tone. Seen a few cubs out ,a few years ago bolted 5 three quarter grown in February that vixen must have been down in November ,happen anyone else?

I dont need the likes of you telling me how to work terriers. I started of saying I didnt agree with foxes being killed out of season was entitled to my opinion and you turned it into a gunfight. Yous put your backs up cause deep down you know its wrong. And you are fully entitled to your opinion as is everyone else ,would say unfortunate more than wrong
