yes i have one and have had it for around 18 months on my annie hmr. it is the best mod ive tryed on the hmr and i have had sak, carbon mod, whisper, and the dm80. mine is the old style one though not the shorter new one. i wouldnt have any other mod. some people say you cant tell much difference in them to the sak but if you have one on after you have had a sak then go back to the sak in say a couple of months time and you will no the difference bieleve me.

as above ive been reading up on other threads about these rifles. and i hear there not very accurate. im not saying all are not accurate ? as each caliber as a couple bad ones sometimes i guess its just the odd bad made rifle. but this caliber seams to suffer alot with it. why not just get 243 or if you want something very fast 243 ai

its hard to say really firearms officer mite want you to have a mentor if its your 1st rifle. snd it will depend on if your farms will pass for this caliber as i dont think your get open ticket from the start. have you put down the 20 farms on your froms to be checked ? if so you mite be in for a wait well they check them or check up on there computers to see if the grounds are passed allready.

how much do you think its worth?

i agree all though you would find it hard to go higher then 60 grains out of a 22/250 in less you have a 1 in 9 twist. most 22/250's are 1 in 14 so 55 grains is about the limit. i no the steyr ssg is a 1 in 12 so you could use a 60 grain in that. if he is offering you tht price for the rifle he will have it uo for 500 for the rifle or 650 with the mod i bet so i would sell private. put it on guntrader i would ask 550 for it -
your right there jack and the fact that you could load the 243 with lighter rounds. so it would be flat shooting. the choice is yours and you should be able to get which one you want. i think 22 centrefire will be more easy granted then 243. when you shoot deer i hear alot of firearms departments like you to take the dcs1 course. or at least have a mentor for so many months

see here i could buy 1000 heads if i wanted the flo said even though my ticket is buy 250 keep 300 this is because its not classed as a round only a head. but soon as i made them up then i couldnt keep more then 300

you could get one with in months of having your ticket if you didnt get one at the start. if you want deer as well you mite as well get 243 so you could have all deer then. have you got roe deer on your land ? if yes the 243 is the only way to go. if you havent and only got munjac then a 22 centrefire would be fine. i would have the 22/250 but if you like to do some target shoot to then 223 would be better

nice going mate -
for 22lr i would go with a 3x12x44 or 50
-
you would find it hard to get 243 for fox alone. you would more then likely have to have deer on it to. i would go for 22 centrefire. my choice would depend on your land if its large and open then the 22/250 would give you great range as long as you no the rifle and able to take those sort of shots on. if the land isnt as big then 223 will be more then you need. lots of cheap ammo to. or pick up a cheap 222 super accurate and easy to find cheap

just get the kit from syss and look on the net and it will show you how to do it. ive done a couple and there easy mate. if you want to take a coil off the spring then knock the back pin out. spring out cut a coil off and then put the pin back in. you can adjust the screw on there to for different pull

bullet heads dont go on your ticket no mate they dont need to. all you have to do is show your ticket at the gunshop to prove you can have them ie expanding and thats it
-
i no people that use match rounds and even when they hit at speed out of a 22/250 it makes a mess. i myself perfer bt or softpoint

you will find your get more luck on the vixen call now then rabbit as the foxes will pair up soon. also a vixen will come into a vixen call. we had one last night. dont forget if a vixen or a dog fox hear a different call on there patch they will com in to confront the they think is on there patch. but instead a 50 grain bt bullet at 3800 is waiting for them

hi john you live in worcester ? drop us a pm mate and i will tell you a good way to get it off quicker

yes your laws are different there then here in england. you could ask the basc if your a member they mite have a word with your firearms department. but like i said they could dig there heels in when you apply for stuff in future. i would just hold out and you will be fine. so this mentor thing is not law and me doing 6 mths is bullshite ? shooting fox with a 222 i was thinking 6mths seems alongtime .so when my mentor is finished say i want a 243 wich i will for deer roe/fallow/fox will i have to go through this bullshite again or can i oppose the mentor thing

i agree the ase is the best it is also compact so it dont look to big on the rifle. yes it makes it front heavy but how man people shoot free hand and dont use sticks or bipod ? if thats the case you wont feel the weight on the front £220 the p8 isnt it ? i get ase for £265 so not that much difference. as for it being on ticket though there is away round that some mods are put on ticket unbranded and if you wanted to swap some rfd can take you old mod and sell you a new one they inform the police and your away. ! as long as its on there as a unbranded mod. i no here the rfd.s are a

just my dealer or is it happening everywhere?
jamie g replied to arveyboy's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
yes they where £9.50 at my shop now there £11.50 thats for hornaday for federal they where £11.50 now there £12.50. trouble is the pound is down agaisnt the $ and the euro at the moment so anything coming in cost more and the shops add this lose onto our prices. i cant see how the hmr ammo can be that dear to be fair its not loike there is lots of powder in there and the bullets are small. its like anything though you have to py it is our sport and like any other sport there is a price. have you seen fishing stuff ! my mate fishes in matchs and bait and odds and sods is like  -
your right i got my monterey 3.1 td stuck twice the other night with my mate ! god now's how we got it out. need some now but some that are ok on the road to as i use my 4x4 everday and dont have a second car
-
suzuki vitara wiill be fine with some mud tires my mate has one and it is great. as there light they dont really get stuck. only downside is there not very much room in them for kit. there was a 1.9td one for 550 on autotrader the other day ! dont see many 3door ones in td for that price

in my eyes 177 is the way to go in 12ftlb form. its is more forgiving is flater and range is 35 to 40 yards if your a good shot. where 22 is loopy range is 25 to 30 yards. more if you no the rifle and set up well but i think 177 is better. but in fac then 22 all the way
-
you will be able to fill the rifle you just wont get the full amount. the idea of a bigger bottle is you will get more fills at the maxium pressure. so you get a 12ltr 300 bar and you fill a air arms to 190 bar you will get lots of fills out of it before that bottle will go down below 190 bar ? a 3ltr 300 bar is nice and compact but you will get a lot less full fill then a 12 ltr bottle for instant if you have a fac riply that you fill to 300 bar to get the full amount of shots at 50ftlb a 12 ltr bottle would be the best suited because you get more fills at 300 bar then you would with the
