  1. Don't make the Home Brews myself, but Mr L has knocked up a few for me and we can get touching with some of these! It does seem that I am fortunate with my .223, .243 and .308, they can all shoot PRVI to an acceptable level (1 inch or better), whereas many guns can't. Just goes to show, as we have said, that bullets and loads needs to be looked at for each gun, not necessarily each make of guns!! i have shot privi in my rifle and well they where very accurate the 1st time i tryed them. the next time i got some they where rubbish so never bothered with them again. to in consistant
  2. your get both. your in devon and from what i have heard off some of the lads on other sites i speak to from there. they cheange guns like the weather. and the devon and cornwall force are very good
  3. ive been told by many that the h380 is a good powder pushing 52 grain amax or 55 grain bullets. what col where you using before
  4. only you can find that out mate. each rifle is different'' even if there the same make some will shoot some brands better then others. here is a couple to try 1. winchester silvertips 50 grain or 55 grain 2. federal powershok 55 grain hollow point. 3.sako gamepoint 55 grain. 4. as for reloads depending on twist of barrel ? i think yours will be 1 in 14 ? then 40 grain up to 55 grain. of course there are vmax, blizkings, these are bt ammo, you can get softpoint heads and hollow point heads also. powder wise varget is a good one to try, h380, h4895, h414, then there is
  5. makes sence to get the p8 because of the different comb's you can have with it. if i was in the market for a over barrel mod then the p8 is what i would have. mind im a ase fan so would never change
  6. if he was on land he had permission on and has fox on his ticket then there is nothing the ranger can do ! but the laws there mite be different to here. if the above is right then he has no right having your mates rifle off him and i would go to station and demand it back right away the oinly other thing i can think of is the ranger had them on ground they shouldnt be on ? if this is the case and im not saying it is. he has no chance of getting it back and will prob lose ticket to

  13. hi mate i got the comp rcbs dies and there good. i have a case trimmer for the brass. ive never tryed the dies your on about but if it was me i would have a trimmer at hand
  14. i dont shoot deer yet. but if i was looking for the all round rifle it would be 243 but that depends on what deer you manly shoot. as above if its red and sika then maybe 308 would be your better choice. as a foxing round tho 243 would be very fast and flat with 55 grain bullets or 58 grain bullets. if it was me i would use the 70 grain ammo for foxes. still fast and flat out to foxingranges at night or day. and buck the wind better. you no 70 grain is going to make a mess
  15. super accurate from what i have seen of others on different sites. there is a lad from a different site thats has one and his groups are superb. wouldnt it be easier to use a 22/250 action or 243. wouldnt have to worry about the botl face then. as for the action speak to your gunsmith. i no remmy actions are ripe for bblueprinting. but alot of people build on sako actions. as there very good from the off. you are better off asking on one of those sites if no one on here has one.

  18. popped out for a quick lamp last night over some permission. not many rabbits about and what we did see my cousin missed with hmr. we then drove under the motorway to the otherside of the permission. it comes to a 3 gate juction. the field on the right is short around 150 yards long. it is bordered on left by a train track and on the right by the m5 motorway. which is around 20 ft in the air above it. we see a fox but as the air was that still and we where so close he soon got wise before we could draw the rifle out the window of the 4x4. he made off down the bottom of the field. so i
