thanks snap im going to wait till next year then get get my winchester rebarreled. i think this is best choice. it has a h&s stock and jewell trigger allready like yo ui looked at 243 ai but i think it just brings more bother in the fact you have to fire form. and for the extra speed you get that wouldnt really ben needed inless your at long range. 70 grain blizkings sounds perfect to me. i would have 24 inch barrel. what barrel did you get. and who done the work

223 will be fine -
yes mate nice one. see the blizkings in action. if the ground drys up the tata could come out again to shoot off the back

me and my friend michael met up around 9 last night. the ground was soaking wet but some of the paths round the shoot we go on are ok to drive on as there concrete. see some rabbits about and shot a couple with hmr to leave for fox. didnt want to shoot to many because when the ground is dry we will mop them up with the 22lr as we sell them. anyway we see some some eyes over the far field had a call. and of course with hmr you have to make sure fox is in range. the bugger wouldnt come in he looked like he was mouching about the far side of the field. just as micheal turned the l

easy lads every rifle has there + an - points at the end of the day if you have the right guns for your shooting that is all that matters. i want to get a 243 or a 6mm br i dont no yet what im doing i piss about all the time thinking of this and that and end up back where i started i have spoke to flo and he said i can have any of the above to but must swap it for my 22/250 well this seamed pretty fair at 1st. i no think i need both rifles. 243 because its minium for roe. but i dont want to use it as a foxing rifle all the time. thats why i want to keep the 22/250. the 243 with 70

sorry mate what i should have said is that is all he needs to get started. i havent used the lee stuff im sure it does the job. i myself went for redding and rcbs stuff. cost abit more but worth the extra i think. besides most can be picked up secondhand

spuddy the press fit all the dies mate. its only the dies themself you need in your caliber. you want a press dies scales primer pocket tool deburer for case neck[ does inside and out] a powder funnel a case tray a pimer tool [ if your press doesnt have it on] sonic cleaner for once you have fired the reloads[ nice to get the cases clean inside] a micrometer to mesure your col redding wax for when you size the neck[ only needs a dab] a trickler im sure others have more stuff or better stuff but this why i got to start up

hi mate 30ftlb is more then enough. once you start going over that you will use more air = less shots per charge and the setp up in power wont really benfit you that much. have a look for a secondhand one on the shooting forums. air gun bbs has a good amount sometimes. you will get more for your money. soon as you buy new you lose aload of the price right away. fac air isnt as popular on resale prices. as most people that step up to fac just get rimfires. dotn forget your need a 300 bar bottle to. because if yo uget a hi power rapid the fill presure is something like 240 bar so a 232 b

hi jason could i have some pictures of the 222 please. is it the standard barrel or heavy barrel ? is it screwcut ?
-
cheers, that definately seems one way to go or around the 75 mark. getting an idea for the land so far and i think most shots will be around 50-75 yards i would zero at 60 then the aim points wont be to much for below or above 60 then

go look at some in a shop and take the bolt out check the rifleing in the throat. where the rifleinging starts see if its worn. check the crown end to. the only real way to check properly is a bore scope. but you should see if the rifleing is worn. they will last for 1000's of rounds if looked after. key to it is dont fire off lots of rounds one after the other. and let the barrel cool also. there was a nice remmy 22/250 on the bbs the other day at a bargain price.

They're OK, I wouldn't say they're anything special to be honest. If I had the money I'd be going for some fancy brand or other. They do go all the way around the tube. top shooting john. i like the warne mounts i have not long got some there soild. fiddly to fit 1st time round but god they wont move a mm

agree but you mist out kahles scope out at the top end range. and the bushnell elite range are as good as the leupolds of the same price easy

T3 Super Varmint 243 advice
jamie g replied to randalls.stevens7's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
have a look at sir slots alot videos on youtube. he has a tikka 243 and its a cracking rifle -
buy secondhand mate. your get a better saving and 223 will last years and years and years. so shouldnt be bothered to much about barrel wear. ase cqb is about the best mod imo its dear but you get what you pay for. i like the fact its small to. you dont need a massive mod on a 223. a t4 will do the job fine

Rifles - calibre = Confused
jamie g replied to jusar whippets's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
imo it depends on what you need. ie'' what is the distance you come across the rabbits ? 22lr is good for 100 yards if you no the drop. but most people stick to around 75, yards. its very silent compared to hmr but hmr is good up to 150 if you no where to aim. most people stick to 120 to 130 yards. of course at night it becomes harder to guess the range so hmr is more forgiving as its flatter shooting. of course hmr ammo is dear to buy compared to 22lr ammo. if you want fox then put down for a centrefire as well. if it was me looking for one rifle then a 22 hornet will be good for bot -
savage rifles are getting very good reviews at the moment for accuracy. and triggers out the box. also there very easy to rebarrel from what ive seen on the net. a job most people can do themself

as above wth dimmer and red filter, and scope mount clip, fag lighter connector, and deben battey charger which chargers 12 v or 6 volt and has light display showing charge. the battery off this lamp is scrap so i have binned it. but the buyer can also have the battery bag and the connetors off the old battery with inline fuse. so all you got to get is a battery with spade end. fit the above connetor and your away. cheapest ive seen it on the net is £72 pound dont think that includes filter or charger and battey bag. ? im looking for £50 + post lamp is in great co
