Got up early to head ferreting this morning, had the gear all ready last night and in the car so just lifted the ferrets and off i went. got to the land around 9 and set up my nets at the top of a hill (which i was regretting after a while) as i was on my jack jones and hauling all the gear myself was a ball ache anyway i had 2 new jills to try today so was looking forward to it. netted up with two long nets and then purse nets on the outer bolt holes. in went my trusty jill and hob and one of the new jills. no action for 5-10 minutes then four fecking bolt within seconds of each other

yeah Chris it sounds similar to what you got, i didnt get it confirmed yet though. since it started i found swarfega to make it sting like feck, and if i wear rubber gloves too. but i think i got it from cutting oil coolant

nice 1 chid21, i'll check it out. i suppose everyone is different and can react differently to the creams so i'll see how i go.

thanks gents, i will definitely try one of them over the counter creams and see how they pan out. symtoms are different from day to day, dry one day to small lumps, itchy and then cracking, and stings when i use certain soaps. only on some of my fingers but it seems to be spreading now, i left it too long to be honest.

as said though trading standards is hard to beat in times like that, very helpful glad you got sorted.

Just a quick question, i think i might have picked up contact dermatitis from work but im not sure, any lads on here have it and if so whats the story with it? can you get cream for it? hands are starting to do my head in now, ive read up a bit about it and its common for metal workers to suffer from it apparently. i know i should've used barrier cream but its a bit late now

theres plenty of buck ejits with guns about, know a man on one of my permissions who had his window blasted by a shotgun, the f***ing cowbay was only yards from his house, in a field and on the other side of the hedge though so i guess that made it ok

the shaped ones save on twine and time, they catch as good as any other net so i dont bother with straight nets. and if i need to cover bigger holes just make bigger shaped nets enjoy
