  1. That has defiantly seen better days ! Always take your mod off at the end of the night. The last time I had a re crown was £45 so not the end of the world but bet your bottom dollar it's never been cleaned either. Never had to have one re bedded but it certainly shouldn't be touching
  2. I've had a few 22.250 and the remmington I've got now is superb, it has got a jewel trigger though. The trigger on my mates is hit and miss sometimes it goes off if you breath on it other times you could hit it with a hammer and it wouldn't fire !
  3. Fried our conger in a pan on a kill it cook it boys week holiday in Devon. Head off and gutted about 9 in the morning, washed it in the bath about 1 in the afternoon and it was still wriggling, that put the lads off !
  4. Celtic, they make really good eating. Once you've eaten one you won't waste any more. Get the seasoned roast bags from the supermarket, drop squirrel in and away you go better than rabbit.
  5. That is pure class. Seen it in real life a few times and it's always a fantastic spectacle, you've captured that spot on. Seen a lot of taxidermy over the years and own quiet a few myself but I can honestly say yours is up there with the best. Go on..... how much !
  6. Escort mk1 van, 24 years ago. Cost me £70 nearly 3 weeks wages on my yts £26 pound a week
  7. Maybe a little buck fever with the new rifle over your longer than normal ranges ?. Relax, get the first one down and you'll feel a lot better on the next

    Ouch

One of my customers got kicked in the head a few years ago, she woke up in the field an hour later managed to walk the 200yds home to call an ambulance, ended up with a plate across her forehead. Only about 7 stone wet through
  9. Been a slow start for me in the midlands but coming in now, getting 3 to 4 a day still not as good as it should be though
  10. Mines an older discontinued model can't remember the name. Couple of mates have got the spitfire model which are nowhere as near as good, the sound quality is just not there. Got mine from the original dealer in Staffordshire before bushwear took them on.
  11. All the above work ok but I brought a fox pro about 6 years ago and it's transformed our nights out.get a wary one that sits well out and scroll through the calls until you get to one he like the sound of, they usually come in the end. Never met anyone who does a good chicken in distress yet!
  12. Used to have a t8 on my old 22.250 which had a neoprene sleeve over it, took the sleeve off one day to clean it and there was a hole rotted through the mod !
  13. 22lr standard barrel, Simmons scope, mod and sling. £570 ono
  14. Done 12 but 4 of them at one house !
  15. As woodga said funnelling foxes into snares is a great way of catching but if your new to this be aware of people's pets and badgers. A decent cage trap well blended in will be a good long term investment, caught them as quick as two hours, dispatched one today that's took two weeks, and as said above easy to release non target animals
  16. Styer ssg 22.250 leupold vx111 4-14x50 luminate ret, t8 mod and sling. Had this from new about 5 years ago. Mod is about a year old.3/4 inch groups at 100 yds but not quite as accurate as it once was at 300. Looking for £800. Any trial welcome if you come to me. Burton on Trent
  17. Had afew with growths like that over the years, usually sacks full of eggs, tape worm I think ?

  19. Andy, pretty sure matts right on dosage. The picture of the statutory box you put on is the law, whatever it says in that box goes and the dosage rate is in that box
  20. Lad I shoot with got one on his 223, shoots foxs easy enough at 130 ish but with extra illuminator. It will be perfect for rabbits on a rimmy
  21. Get calls for this most springs, also had them pulling seals around wing mirrors off after seeing there reflections. Had a job afew years ago for the highway traffic cops at there depot on the m1, they had 6 patrol vehicles, a pair of carrions ripped the wiper blades off 4 of them. I tried bird gel on a guys window they were pecking, that didn't work either. Larsons or air rifle is the best bet.
  22. Amber is all we use now, not as sharp as white but cuts better than red. Also tried green and blue, but they seemed to cast a deeper shadow. Amber works well for us.
  23. Usually around £40-60 in a domestic lawn, £10 extra per mole if there's more than one on a big lawn or paddock. Took me a good few weeks to catch my first for a friend it's much easier if you can find someone to show you but you probably won't get to many takers.
