  1. These tragedies will continue to happen as long as we have limp wristed liberal do gooders in charge of social and child welfare, they had a visit from social services and refused them entry to the house or access to the children, that should have warranted the door going in and a full search of the place which in the judges opinion would probably saved the life of that wee girl. What did the useless b*****ds do, walked away and now stand there bleating, we didn't have the authority, well tell someone who has the authority or f**k off and pack shelves in asda.
  2. Colour is not an issue really. Working dogs should be always kept outside in a kennel. Colour could be an issue, I personally would avoid chocolate. I keep my dogs outside because it suits me but I think you get a better bond with a dog kept indoors.
  3. I would imagine when SH said count the rabbit he was thinking along the lines of, 1. I don't want to come across as petty, I'm among friends, I'll be sporting. 2. there's probably a lot more rabbits and action in front of me to pull it back. 3.There's no way a man (especially the one running the comp) will count a myxie rabbit. Well at least the first one was right, I don't know anyone involved here, or anyone in the comp for that matter but from the outside looking in it doesn't seem fair to look a man in the eye who travelled that distance and run on strange ground that he was beaten by
  4. Fair play to you singlehanded, that was your decision, me personally I think it shouldn't have counted and you would have thought all concerned would have thought so as well.
  5. So if I'm deciphering Whins posts correctly (and I doubt I am) did one of the rabbits caught have myxie ?.
  6. Technically the dog who catches most rabbits on the night wins the heat and if it goes on to win the competition then it's the winner of the lamping competition no more no less, doesn't make it the best lamping dog and I don't think anyone is claiming that. It's been a bad few years most places for rabbits and very likely the dog that goes on to win the competition won't have caught in all the heats the total rabbits some can secure in a night very likely that the winning dog has itself had more in a night. But it's the same rules for all and you know that before you enter.
  7. Everyone should now go out and buy a union jack and stick it on their car, and while your at it buy a few and stick them on other peoples cars as well.
  8. Wednesday past they had the helicopter in the air up here for three lads ferreting, a couple of cars to boot. I wonder what the total cost to the taxpayer that would amount to ?. Someone somewhere should keep a note of the number of times this occurs, multiply it with the cost of each operation and make the resulting total public knowledge.
  9. Is it just the photo or have the majority of those rabbits got myxie ?.
  10. How do you come to that conclusion ??.
  11. Wouldn't give them the reek off my shit.
  12. how you getting on with the dog mate any news you are right about this mate get your money back but keep the dog she is yours now she is used to you and you like her its not nice to have this and i hope the breeder is banned from it. they prob do this all the time for money Whether it was an accident or not is open to speculation, but if the breeder offers a refund then no more can be done legally IE sale of goods act and if a full refund is given then he is entitled to the return of the dog, the buyer isn't entitled to the dog and a refund unless the breeder agrees to this.
  13. Some dogs won't retrieve and never will, that's a fact and nothing will change that. Some refuse dummies but will retrieve the real thing, to be honest it's difficult if not impossible to teach a dog that shows no inclination to retrieve to do so.
  14. My condolences to the family.
  15. I've got two, had four altogether, retired two to pet homes, they all trained easily enough, very loyal one man dogs, not as wide ranging as pointers but that suits me. Downsides, coat obviously and they can sometimes take the protective thing to far, IE get away from my master, bird, car etc, ideal for one man/dog situation but need to be watched if it's a shooting day with lots of other dogs. Mine anyway.
  16. We're victims of our own demise, our own doing, up and down the country right now muslim carry out shops (food and alcohol) will be full of white men handing over their cash and financing god knows what. You don't need protest marches, petitions etc, boycott their shops, don't give them your trade simple as that.
  17. Hell of a Qoute that mate. I take it you Don't Train your dogs to Retrieve.Or can't Train your Dogs to Retrieve. Beat me to it.
  18. I certainly don't presume to speak for anyone other than myself, although I do think a lot of people are of the same opinion.
  19. Oh ok thanks for pointing that out, that makes it ok then.
  20. I suppose you could say that it's up to the individual how many kids they have, but I'm willing to wager good money to anyone on this, that if they had to feed, clothe and rear them without benefits the vast majority of them wouldn't have as many. Also, it may be different in other areas but from my observations it's people on benefits who have the large families, they haven't got the strength or inclination to work but most seem able to spew kids out.
  21. stick with them and keep away from poodle xs So give us a bit of an insight into your experiences with them that brings you to that conclusion.
  22. Nobody will be stealing your experience and stories Whin, the fecking Kremlin couldn't crack the code you use.
  23. In 1820 when in England and Wales the gallows were experiencing their busiest period with over 200 capital offences on the statute books records show that the majority of people sentenced to hang had actually witnessed a public hanging. That slightly takes the edge off the deterrent theory. Another angle to consider, and this was pointed out to me by a high court judge out stalking with us one day, you have always got to leave room for negotiation and manouvre, IE, imagine the scenario, a gunman is holed up in a school having shot and killed half a class of pupils and their teacher, he is now
  24. I think the bush restricted your view.
