  6. Thats not true Dilly. You earn your digging retirement and become the 'foreman' on a dig rather than the digger.lol. Like you say it's too addictive for some people and no other hobby gives you the same satisfaction. Plenty of years left in you mate.it doesn't hurt for the dogs to take a back seat now and then,,
  7. Fair doe's,, but foxterriers/welshterriers all I can say is they must be as green as grass..
  8. I heard he's sold/sells a few to the Germans..
  9. nice set up but looks abit tight for space.. And may of been idea to have left a bit of a overhang with the sheeting on the front..
  10. not all the time if you start a dog to early they will probly go to the neck of the stuff were they cant get nipped then av seen dogs try kill it from were they lift in each dog is different they have to find there own way of dealing with it but thats a pups first fox single handed only tine will tell with him my own dog will kill a fox by the chest or he crush there heads just depends on himiv never seen one single dog crush a fox's head personal,, not saying you'rs doesn't but never seen it done..
  11. been told he has terriers but not his old mans stuff?
  12. If this bitch has had a good working life the chances are she would of took a lot of knocks over the seasons which eventually takes its toll on there running/working ability and not all dogs can keep it up!! so to carry on working and watching her punching her guts out when she's clearly struggling and then to be lyed up in the kennel for days on end is only something a fool would do..
  13. Jesus.... And I thought greyhounds where bad.!!
  14. it has nothing to do with big bullxs,, just stating there's no comparison with there catching ability and dispatching with a good Lurcher..
  15. would these be the same bull/whips that couldn't catch a muntie in a pheasant pen and a fox that went open field out of a hedgerow earth?
  16. I saw a bull whippet pre ban that would kill a fox as good as any lurcher and didn't get a mark on it. Something tells me this wasn't a one off. But I could be wrong.I bred a litter of first crosses at exactly the same time as the first litter of pocket rockets were produced. The birch I bred them from was a well worked bulldog down from some of the most competitive lines in the UK over the last 20yrs and the dog was a half brother to the dog that JP was using to produce his pups he was a big strong 22 1/2 inch whippet with plenty of fire about him.None of the pups were fast enough to be really
  17. Thing is everythings a struggle for them, and they need all the odds stacked in there favour when trying to preform a normal Lurchers task,, and you will almost always have to step in and end matters when foxes are unlucky enough to be caught by these little dogs,, and if it did manage to do the job it's self, it will probably be in a sorry state and the chances are it wouldn't get near another that same day/night,, so it say a lot for the lads that try and compare them with proper Single handed Lurchers..
  18. Tallywacker s got serious hangups bout bullxwhip,he cannot believe they do most tasks.h ell even tell you your dog isn't as tall as you state.tells us tallywacker how you been mentally scarred by these bullwhips.?Qbgrey Iv seen many of these bull/whips on a nite/day out after lads have bigged them up, and all were found wanting, but the worst of them I seen was direct out of jps Leo who was well know for being a bag of sh*t and is also the sire to yr own super dog.. Lol
  19. nah it's just some people are easily pleased... Tally, it all depends on what you mean by easily pleased. For myself I need / want a dog to give me 100%. and they do. If that makes me easily pleased then I'm happy i agree they do give a 100% but they don't excel at anything.
