  1. Always been the same, believe it or not it is better now than it was, If you are not 100% fit or are unable to get back to 100% fitness then you really are not a lot of use to them, That leaves the problem of resettlement and that is where the problems begin, Personally i believe all forces personal who have served a minimum six years or injured in service, should be given a standard build 2 bedroomed house or equivalent in monitory value to put towards a house of their choice as part of there discharge/resettlement package, But that's never going to happen. I also believe that all
  2. Might change my bath upstairs for an old enamel one, can light a fire in it then, Providing i leave a window open for safety purposes ?
  3. If they spent as much on returning them as they are on housing them, then perhaps we wouldn't be in this mess, They can blame ECHR. or Brexit or what ever else but the simple facts are they are not asylum seekers, They are illegal immigrant's and should be returned on the next available transport. The whole Rwanda thing is an attempt to bypass the obstacle's imposed by the EU, Well i thought we were not in the EU anymore. incompetence and the inability to accept the will of the people by civil servants and Politicians has got us in this mess.
  4. The length of daylight is part of what triggers the natural cycle of life in most living things, Quick example, ferrets will come into season as a general rule when day and night are roughly 12 each.
  5. If you think back, All the small independent Energy suppliers were taken out first. Does make you wonder, More so when you see the wholesale prices for energy falling week on week, yet bills are rising at the same time.
  6. Loads of videos on YouTube showing how to jail break a firestick,
  7. Follow the science, always comes back to the money ? How are they possibly going to police it, tell people they can track them like the mythical old detector vans.
  8. A long, long time ago me and a mate were out one night after a few pheasant. Back then we were using the square elastic, To cut a long story short the elastic snapped and hit him right in the gonads. I have never herd anyone make the noises he made that night on the way back to the motor, trip to hospital and one testicle removed.
  9. I have to say, That's the most ridiculous thing you have ever posted, ?
  10. Slightly of subject but i have just been reading and looking at proper pictures of a Skunk walking around the local town.
  11. Very cute, i don't mean you either Lol.
  12. So i need a new house ?
  13. Have you watched the documentary about the arboreal rats recently found in the Solomon Islands. up to 2ft long and eat coconuts. if i remember correctly.
  14. I will try to find it and send you a link mate, The other year i was watching a colony grow under a load of bird feeder the old boys were feeding daily on an embankment near the cut. Fascinating things to watch. Mate of mine (RIP) would keep his Gill ferrets together in a big run, he would borrow a hob off me for a couple of weeks and breed them, when the young ferrets were born i would spend hours watching them stealing each other young,
  15. When the kids were little, one of them had a hamster escape, Poxy thing was living in the settee for around six months until it got on my nerves one night with its scratching, Settee upended bottom ripped and ferret put in, Job done after 10 mins, Kids were none the wiser.........Reeeeeesult.
  16. Have you seen the documentary on that island where the rat population explodes to coincide when a certain tree that only produces fruit every 30 odd years fruits, The place is absolutely over run with them, hundreds of thousands, when the fruit is all gone they eat each other until the population gets back down to the level it was, Fascinating stuff.
  17. I did know the general manager, Scouse bloke, That was a about 18 years ago mind ?
  18. The Scary bit for me is, Corona Virus was man made and the treatment for it was man made!. The Scary bit is that the potential to make money is exponential.
  19. Forgot to say this was for time lapse photography of the night sky.
  20. Was talking to a lady who is living in one of these new ECO houses. all electric her electric bill was roughly the same as mine weekly £30 but that included all her heating where as my gas is roughly a further £60 a week at the minute,
  21. I had a thought the other day. There is a big, Not for human consumption, meat processing place near here, surrounded by a few quarries. some being used and others not, this place really does stink of dead stuff. surely somewhere like that would be a magnet if big cats where in the area.
  22. Years ago a bloke off here was out lamping where he possibly should not have been. He spots this little red light flashing, after some thoughts of being set up, he decides to approach the red light, on the ground in front of him it a complete DSLR and time lapse electric frame set up complete with battery packs, worth thousands, amazing what you come across when out and about.
  23. Nowt as queer as folk, I was driving down the lanes one morning and see a van marked up as wildlife rescue and a rather plump lady looking lost, Being the gentleman i am i just drove past her. Parked up and proceeded to give the dogs a run, two fields away from where she was the dogs found a swan dead in the field under the power lines. On the drive home she was still there, so i stopped and asked if i could help with anything, She explained she was looking for an injured swan that was reported as being under some powerlines, Now these power lines are not the little ones there the great big on
  24. The Set up is simple to put together and as i said the area would have been heavily baited over a long period of time. You then have to be prepared to leave all that kit out all night, The chances are here, someone will nick it. I use to do similar things with nuthatches and that, place an old camera on a branch and feed that branch until the bird became confident with seeing the camera, Then replace it with the real camera and using remote triggers take the pictures using an ipad from inside the motor.
