  1. I had a thought the other day. There is a big, Not for human consumption, meat processing place near here, surrounded by a few quarries. some being used and others not, this place really does stink of dead stuff. surely somewhere like that would be a magnet if big cats where in the area.
  2. Years ago a bloke off here was out lamping where he possibly should not have been. He spots this little red light flashing, after some thoughts of being set up, he decides to approach the red light, on the ground in front of him it a complete DSLR and time lapse electric frame set up complete with battery packs, worth thousands, amazing what you come across when out and about.
  3. Nowt as queer as folk, I was driving down the lanes one morning and see a van marked up as wildlife rescue and a rather plump lady looking lost, Being the gentleman i am i just drove past her. Parked up and proceeded to give the dogs a run, two fields away from where she was the dogs found a swan dead in the field under the power lines. On the drive home she was still there, so i stopped and asked if i could help with anything, She explained she was looking for an injured swan that was reported as being under some powerlines, Now these power lines are not the little ones there the great big on
  4. The Set up is simple to put together and as i said the area would have been heavily baited over a long period of time. You then have to be prepared to leave all that kit out all night, The chances are here, someone will nick it. I use to do similar things with nuthatches and that, place an old camera on a branch and feed that branch until the bird became confident with seeing the camera, Then replace it with the real camera and using remote triggers take the pictures using an ipad from inside the motor.
  5. The set up was, Canon t6i, Canon 10-22 lens, Camtraptions sensor, and three Nikon flashes. Obviously pre baited for a good while. Most good wildlife shots are very rarely not pre set up, That set up. Camera £350 ish Comtraptions sensor £160 ish 3 flash units plus remote triggers £800 ish so total £1300
  6. As a general guide, if you can get anywhere near what you paid for it then, Happy Days.
  7. @Greyman I think i spotted you looking for big cats ?
  8. Yes but they said that they could possibly produce materials up there that can not be made down here,
  9. I know a bloke who spent over half a million quid arguing with his neighbour over a poxy fence
  10. Watched that on the news early this morning, Ten satellite's onboard, one doing experiments to create new materials in space.
  11. Even had Canon showcase one on there website ? More luck than judgement, i must admit.
  12. All the old places are gone, Bennet's seed merchants, that supplied everything you could imagine closed shortly after the old man died and the 2 sons took a quick profit on the building, Then there was a sort of local place importing all sorts of foreign finches, Most were full of anti biotics to get a quick sale and didn't last very long, Gone are the local old boys who just bred for themselves and gave or swapped birds with mates. Around here was the best in the world for Norwich canaries in the past but now your lucky to find someone with a budgie in a cage, Sad really but its just the way
  13. And mine followed by the Dunnock believe it or not,
