    I've worked on a lot of Dairy farms, and seen a lot of sights, some of which may say is 'cruel', but you cant have your cake and eat it. The worst neglect I have seen was a middle aged farmer whos dad had passed away and he had almost given up, the place was a bombsite, cows lying half dead in their own shit as he struggled to scrape a living dead stock left to rot in fields, cows on slings and laying in the filth unable to get up as their back end had gone.     I find in England the further South you go, the worse they get. Once you get into the Midlands and beyond is a no go And in Scotland its the further North you go some right inbred backwards c**ts up in the Highlands, but all nice people very welcoming, just a tad strange.     My opinion is based the fact that everyone is aloud one. Just because you shot a few badgers doesn't mean yours is any more valid than mine. Probably less so as you sound very biased lol

    No GTE, you have it wrong. I work with and for keepers every day, have close friends who are keepers and family members who are keepers. I just attribute it down to living a life of solitude and isolation from the real world slowly eats away at your social skills until you have none left I have no bias or axe to grind, just saying it how it is.

    IMO the badger cull was a failure. Simply because of the bullshit jumping through hoops to satisfy people, bad publicity it received and extraordinary cost both money and time. Unless the results from the cull come back with near 100% certainty that culling badgers reduces TB, it will never be repeated.

    I think a lot of young lads getting into it also overlook the people you will be working for/with. Most, and ive met a lot and know a lot, of keepers are f***ing arseholes you wouldn't give the time of day to if it weren't for their job Arrogant, obnoxious, bordering on bullys some times. Its as if because they were treated like shit as a trainee/underkeeper they make it their mission in life once they have become 'headkeeper' to make anyone under them go through the same shit. Ive known of trainee keepers who were given 2 days off a year (yes 2 ) either xmas eve and xmas day
